@adil3tr The art is more, to my mind, expressed as someone making automata in art form (mechanical birds, etc.) although I'm looking at removing the art use in 0.2 as fine art really struggles to compete even with a weight restriction.

@christian.nipales I'm not, no. I suppose that they have some magical automata as part of their setting? I seem to recall employing those as the Gnomes in an EU IV game.
@Tanrice I do appreciate the compatibility is not currently wonderful. My 0.2 task list does include sorting out the compatibility as this, as you point out, does override a lot of vanilla.
In case of this mod, you can simply write a method group and several method, the only vanilla thing you need to overwrite is \common\buildings, where you should add your method groups to vanilla buildings.
In this way, it is much easier to make a compatible patch for your mod.
