Half-life 2: Ultra High Definition is a mod collection that is for 4K and 8K users and it's design to offer textures models and particles to be upscaled and/or remaked. It's mixed textures, models and particles with RTX's Ray Trace, AI Upscale and Half-Life Alyx, so that way it looks incredible for Ultra High Definition users.

For about Half-Life 2's 21 years, we included VALVe: Open your Eye with AI Upscale in 4K for memories since Half-Life 2 was originally released with VALVe Open your eyes back in November 2004.

Additional Note: This game does not support Mesa's default setup and it will recommend Kisak's version by install APT version or Snap version, if you're using Ubuntu 24.04 and later with Steam Snap, you need a snap version of Kisak's Mesa Vulkan.

ISSUES: Please note that when you're using Linux, OpenGL is not supported and will require this game to run on Vulkan to reduce crashes, yes OpenGL for this game will work but it has problems which it's why OpenGL is not supported. Some maps will displayed missing textures due to uploaders of the mod aren't verifying all maps correctly.

WORKAROUNDS: Yes, there's a way to fix the crashes, this command will reduce crashes and that includes making sure some textures aren't blurry.
