描述
Introducing the Qualle by EINSCHLAG, a multi-purpose mini submarine designed for exploration, rescue, repair, and recovery missions. This vehicle offers:
  • Easy operation with automatic heading and depth hold
  • Top speed (submerged): 40 km/h (21.6 knots / 11.1 m/s)
  • Top speed (surfaced): 35 km/h (18.9 knots / 9.7 m/s)
  • Top speed (land): 140 km/h
  • Yes, it can drive on land with its little wheels, but be careful when driving fast
  • Easy to use airlock for diver entry/exit
  • Onboard diesel generator for recharging (usable underwater for a limited time)
  • Radar and sonar (active/passive) systems
  • Sea depth monitor and route tracking map
  • Multiple cameras: back, bottom, front arm, and driver-operated periscope
  • Front arm with welder, light, and mag all
  • Exterior controls for basic driving and arm control functionality outside the sub
  • Airlock that doubles as docking port
  • Plenty of equipment for various missions and emergencies
  • Outboard pump that can be used for multiple purposes (i.e. refueling other ships or the sub itself)

Startup Procedure
  1. Ensure Power, Pumps, and Battery Switches are on (behind Pilot seat)
  2. Activate Main Systems Button (above Pilot/Copilot Seats)
  3. Turn on Propulsion System Key (above Pilot/Copilot Seats)
  4. It down in the pilot's seat and you're ready to go

About the wheels
Not all images show the wheels, as they were added later. They can be easily removed (along with their motors) if you don't want them.
The wheels are useful for loading the sub onto other vehicles or for moving itself to a river, lake, or the ocean.
It is quite maneuverable at low speeds and can reach a top speed of 140 km/h on land.
You can also drive underwater by filling the ballast tanks, which is quite energy efficient if you turn off the submarine propulsion system while doing so.
It's fun and has been quite useful to me, so hopefully you like it too.

Using the Airlock
  1. Ensure ballast tank is filled to at least 2400
  2. Sit in airlock and press fill button (remember to have a diving suit on)
  3. Inner door will close automatically
  4. Wait for airlock to fill (monitor Water Fill Level)
  5. Open top hatch when full
  6. Keep fill button on until top hatch is closed again
  7. Do this in reverse to enter the sub
  8. Check and adjust ballast tank level after use if needed

Additional Features
  • Bottom mag alls for attaching to sea floor, vessels, or lifting objects
  • Air filter for low oxygen situations
  • Adjustable thermostat
  • Automatic bilge pump
  • Radio for communication
  • Exterior lighting and flares
  • Automatic air tank refill when surfaced
  • Rear winch for towing or lifting
  • Power management through selective battery use (4 Main Batteries and one Reserve Battery)
  • Emergency surface buttons (uses propulsion, not ballast tanks)

Maintaining Neutral Buoyancy
Use the Buoyancy Control Dial on the Pilot/Copilot Dashboard:
  1. Submerge vessel and let it stabilize using the propulsion system
  2. Fill on negative numbers or drain on positive numbers
  3. Adjust until the dial stabilizes around 0

@Phoenix I think that's just a Stormworks thing. But I'll check if something is wrong (probably after the Battlefield 6 Open Beta :hellionfunny:).

how does the outside pressure dial work? i'm 90 meters below the surface but it's still reading 1 atmosphere

@dragon
You can mostly ignore it. The system handles pressure automatically - it is just there to troubleshoot if needed as extremely low or high pressure could cause some systems to slow down (i.e. the airlock drain/fill). Shouldn't be a big problem, but this way you at least know why something might take longer.

The air tank could be filled by several things. For example filling the ballast tank will increase air tank pressure. It also is used to cycle some air with the cabin. So this will also cause some pressure changes.

If any problems arise, I'm happy to hear and address them.

Confused on how the air tank pressure gauge works, it goes down for a bit, and then goes up, even though i'm way below the surface.

@half asleep Alex

The sub can go about twice as fast in the water now. I also greatly improved the pitch stabilty, so its top speed can be achieved more consistently. :check_mark:

Thank you very much. I do not have much experience with submarines in Stormworks, so I'm glad to hear that.

yeah it's rare to see one on the workshop of good quality like yours.

Just got into the game and noticed that. I think it's pretty hard overall and takes much time to troubleshoot. But there are great options and I hope that I also contributed a bit. :KOh:

@half asleep Alex

Thank you! I will try and update it if that works. :vulcansalute:

amazing sub but could u make it a bit faster?
