Small Automatic Heading Hold (1x3)

Perfect for any vehicle that benefits from maintaining a straight path, this 1x3 Small Automatic Heading Hold microcontroller is easy to install and effortless to use.

Behavior:
The microcontroller monitors the compass to determine the current heading. When a manual yaw input is detected, it sets the current heading to hold. If manual input stops, it calculates the heading error and applies a proportional correction to maintain the desired direction automatically.

  • Automatic Stabilization: Keeps your vehicle on course using compass data.
  • Easy Integration: Compatible with most control systems and microcontrollers.
  • Proportional Control: Adjusts yaw based on heading error for smooth corrections.

Inputs:
  • Compass: Current heading from your compass sensor.
  • Original Yaw: Manual yaw commands or other control inputs.

Outputs:
  • Corrected Yaw: Adjusted yaw value to maintain the set heading or the original yaw if it is active.

Properties:
  • Proportional Gain: Sensitivity setting for yaw correction. The higher the value, the stronger the correction.

Setup Instructions:
  1. Connect your compass
  2. Connect yaw control (from seat or other control system)
  3. Link Adjusted Yaw to your vehicle’s yaw control system
  4. Everything is set up and ready to go, the system will now automatically maintain the heading
  5. Adjust the desired Proportional Gain Property as needed
