Yeah, seemingly impossible. Probably hardcoded by the same system that colors the health number color.

I edited my hud to use every possible color setting that has ever been used in any res file. Not a single one of them was capable of recoloring the text color. Adding "Brighttext" and "Dulltext" in any combo also didn't help.

I actually tried the fgcolor method and it didn't seem to do anything as the names stayed the off white color.

depends on where. I have no idea what file alters the name and healthbar over the playermodel heads. But the healthbars on the bottom of the screen should be colorable using fgcolor_override

Hey man, was wondering if you know whether its possible to change the color of the survivor names on the HUD or not in L4D2? I'm currently working on a custom HUD and so far nobody has been able to give me a straight answer!
