You just reminded me that stats even exist. And i mod the game more than i actually play it. the past three or so years were genuinely just me launching the game to make maps or mods.
i just was excited that i figured out how to make horrible maps where i just slapped a buncha weapons and stuff in there. And then somehow TUMTaRA happened partially because of it.
maybe a two months of just building a map by adding pits, fire, explosive barrels. Everything that 16yo me thought was cool.
i think i spent a few days just making walls of infected and mowing em town with the garling or something, lmao.
How does it look like on your end?
I know weapon stats like the ROF, accuracy, and ammo capacity can be modified, but can other weapons be given the ability to;
1. zoom in like the SG 552?
2a. shoot three round bursts like the Scar?
2b. change the number of rounds per burst?
If you'd instead just tell me what you had issues with, i could have told you by now.
Are you sure you want me to "update" the guide, or do you want us to dumb it down?
I don't know enough about "making si" in that way. I won't be able to help you with anything but making the model.
If there was a way to add SI with new abilities, i don't know how that is done.
Unless its amy's baking company.
apparently sv_lan 1 needs to be set for l4d1/2 to allow the cc-ui.
And there's no real benefit of using tools mode or the cc-ui in general. But not everyone has photoshop, and i do not know of any other tool that can edit .raw files. So some need to use the ingame color correction ui.
Found out a way to disable CC ingame so you can make color corrections without even using the crappy tools mode to disable it via the cc menu first. Otherwise you'd alter CC based on top of the previous CC, which is annoying as hell.
Although then that requires it to be entirely via photoshop or whatever software can edit .raw files.
But i got a feeling that something like that could be done via Vscripting?
You might have some luck joining the D4M Discord server and ask in the modding channel. There's a few people who know Vscripting that could perhaps help you.
The idea I had was to have more than eight survivors (or just new ones) in a map, use your guide for changing models, and give them custom generic dialog without replacing the old generic dialog.
