Age of Mythology Overhaul - Full change log
As its name suggests, this mod aims to change lots of aspects in Age of Mythology. You will find full change log here.

I. Heroes

1. All heroes in the game (except Folstag, priests, monks and maybe one or two others) have their stats modified.

2. All campaign heroes (friends and ennemies) have their HP, attack, speed and lign of sight increased. They no longer take population slots.
2.1. Circe deals much less damage but has no cooldown and has the same mechanics as classic campaign heroes (regens, can be saved if dead). She can heal.
2.2. Setna gives power like pharaohs (same rate) as said in his description and is affected by Maat spirit and Funeral rites.
2.3. Reginleif is visually affected by the aurora borealis.

3. Recruitable heroes are stronger.
3.1. Greek heroes have more HP, attack, armor and have a slow regeneration but you can no longer mass produce them. Costs and production time are much higher.

Buildings gain 2 range for each tower upgrade (norse gain a free upgrade at age III).
Sentry towers are available at archaic age.
Fort buildings capacity increased from 10 to 20.

  • Greeks: Villagers
  • Egyptians: Priests
  • Norse: Infantry

Hunting dogs tech gives villagers a damage bonus against hunted animals.
Masons and architects give better bonuses and increase building speed.

Military

Siege weapons can be garrisoned in fort buildings.
Military ships don't take population slots but have a build limit increasing with ages.
Military upgrades also affect units main stat:
  • Infantry: armor
  • Archers: range
  • Cavalry: speed

Portable ram is no longer affected by draft horses.

V. Myth units and techs

All civilizations

Myth units upgrade also decrease recharge time.
The following myth units have an upgrade:
  • Scorpion Man
  • Caladria/Servant
  • Dryad
  • Nereid
Egyptian

Scarabs have a higher base attack, but lower bonus against buildings.
Atef crown increases mummies ranged attack.
New kingdom (Osiris) tech removed from the temple.

Atlantean

New myth unit: Mother dryad.
Halo of the sun increases Mirror Towers range and damage.

VI. Relics

Relics are more powerful.
Most relics have new icons.
Relic list modified.
Relics affect heroes as well as units from additional civilizations and some have their effect modified:
  • Bow of Artemis increases archers damage instead of reducing costs
  • Catoblepas Scales increases all resistances
  • Fetters of Fenrir increases villagers damage bonus against huntable animals

VII. New units

Gods

All the 60 gods (except Kronos) are now available in the editor. Some of them have custom attacks and/or got special abilities.

Recruitable heroes

Isis/Ra: Priestess. Focuses on heal and convert.
Set: Priest of Set. A priest specialized in direct damage.
Thor/Odin: Druidess. Focuses on summoning wolves.
Loki: Rune Wizard. A battle mage who can also heal.

Each of these heroes has 5 specific techs.

Additional civilizations

You need to research the tech available in your town center at classical age:
  • Greeks: Romans
  • Egyptians: Nubians
  • Norse: Celts
  • Atlanteans: Amazons
  • Chinese: Indians
The tech automatically creates a settler once researched. It also unlocks three new buildings: settlement, house, barracks.

The only purpose of the settler is to build (or repair) the settlement. He cannot be used to perform other tasks. If you loose him, you can freely call an other one from any town or citadel center.

The villager can build houses and barracks from his civilization. He can also build economic buildings from main civilization and naval shipyard. You can use him like a normal villager.

Settlement building options:
  • Age II: Villager
  • Age III: Hero, Siege unit (except Celts)
Barracks building options:
  • Infantry
  • Archers
  • Cavalry

These civilisations have a minor god system like the main civilisation. You have to choose between two gods for your settlement to advance in ages and unlock upgrades for the units. Each god also unlocks a spcific myth unit. You can right-click on the icon to get more details. Help is only provided in French and English.

VIII. Misc/Fixes

Data fixes from Minor Bug Fix Mod included. To have the other fixes you have to subscribe to this mod and place mine at a higher load order.
