Buildable Units Redux

描述
Buildable Units Redux is a spinoff of Kiruka's Buildable Units mod, patching several issues that have arisen or been noticed since Kiruka stopped maintaining the original.

At the moment, it is intended to be used as a drop-in replacement for the original mod, and should be safe to replace mid-campaign. There are plans for a more comprehensive revamp later on, but this will take time to design and execute.

The feature list is pretty slim so far, and more easily expressed in terms of changes from the original:
  • Changed dependencies to target Tedster's newer MEC Troopers for LWOTC Redux to shut AML up.
  • Dropped Russian localization in anticipation of my abovementioned revamp.
  • Integrated my SPARK Voice Fix for Buildable Units mod, deprecating it in the process.
  • Added compatibility with Alpha's EU Shivs, the newer version of Alpha115's [WOTC] Shiv Mod. Use the old mod at your peril.
  • Integrated localization from Mrvecz's Extensive Information Overhaul (LWOTC - Mod Jam) mod, as I use it myself and it would likely have been clobbered by my newer mod. The original localization is still present in the files, should you wish to use that instead.
  • Fittingly for a LWotC-centric mod, the Suppression ability used by some BUs is now Suppression_LW. Setting the mod up for non-LWotC campaigns requires extensive config edits anyway, so what's one more? (As an aside, this change will not be retroactively applied to existing campaigns.)
  • The mod is no longer overwriting faction hero armor templates.
  • Tech templates are now defined exclusively in Template Master, fixing a misunderstanding that required their prerequisites to be defined by Weapon Skin Replacer instead.

- Kiruka for the original Buildable Units (and everyone she credited for it, in turn).
- kimbosong for noticing BUs weren't using the correct Suppression ability.

I'll probably just wait until someone makes a mod that configs this one to be for WOTC like how someone did that for the OG mod, I've got no shame in admitting I'm too lazy to do all the configing necessary to make it work.

About as usable as the original, i.e. "probably yes, but you'll need to make some config changes".

In addition to Kiruka's original instructions on making it work in a non-LWotC setup, you'll need to change all references to "Suppression_LW" back to "Suppression".

1. Yes. I also highly recommend upgrading to the newer SHIV mod if you're using SHIVs.

2. TJ might lose the config war with BUR, but aside from fixing the faction hero armors and having EIO (of which the relevant chunks are now built directly into BUR), I don't think it does anything with BUs? So should be fine. I've replaced BU with BUR in my current campaign, but I'm currently using Tiaz's Mod Jam so there may be subtle differences I'm not aware of.

3. I heard about it during development, but haven't heard anything that would help me pinpoint why it happens, beyond Styr theorizing that it might be some kind of compatibility issue in Configurable Headshots (and thus requiring a fix in that mod instead).

1. So we have to just disable the old one and enable this mod?
2. We can enable it when playing Ted's Jam mod?
3. Is the odd bug fixed where the units headshots weren't created after having at least one buildable units in the barracks?
