This is a new version of the original MEC Troopers for LWOTC and is a drop-in replacement

This version features a few changes.
  • Cooked to reduce filesize.
  • Fixed the bug that caused them to receive extra AP, so they have XCOM decks again.
  • Redid the UI so you see classes and not abilities on the selection screen.
  • Added arrays so strategy costs can be changed for each difficulty.
  • Added new infrastructure for selecting classes, opening things up to additional modded mec classes.

The current class trees are based on illogical's memory of the old 3 row trees Kiruka created, and are currently using her original XCOM decks. Let me know if there are blank spots, duplicates, etc.

Requirements:
  • Long War of the Chosen normal or experimental is needed. You can adjust ability trees as usual if you want to use this outside of LWoTC, but all classes use some LWoTC native abilities you'll need to substitute.
  • Most perk packs/classes are there because of the abilities they contain.
  • May 20 2024 update: Psionics Overhaul V3 is no longer required. The Mec Templar now gets its psi amp in the pistol slot in Long War of the Chosen Beta V32 or newer. I've also included config for Dedicated Pistol Slot 2.0 to add the slot, but you'll need to add config for other LW/modded classes to work as expected with it.

I am having issues in the xcomgamedata.ini with enabling gene modding, is there anything else I need to do besides enabling that?

Good catch, I've just added it to the requirements.

@Narlindir, the X sounds like you are using Augmentations? I am not familiar with how well it works with LWOTC.

What are the material costs for making a MEC Troop? I Have all the correct research and the Foundry done. When i try to create a trooper i just get the screen saying that i don't have enough resources, however for the life of me i can't find anywhere that tells me what exactly i'm missing.

I can confirm it works with tedJam+
wounded soldier was succesfully cut up
annoying it doesnt show the time

this is supposed to work on gravely wounded people too right?
so i can cut em up into a mech faster then they would heal naturally

is it for sure compatible with the R&D facility from your TedJam pack?
on my soldiers in the barracks time remaining simply says "X"

is there a way to verify its working?

FTB's version is not originally for LWOTC, mine is and is designed for the TJ+ environment/collection. Both of us shared code/enhancements over the original mec troopers mods.

curious for that one which redux do I use I see both you and bunnies idk which one is just for base or if this is meant specifically with jam

There's already an lwotc version of this mod, what's the purpose of this mod? just to work with mod jam?
