Basic Info

This is a collection of mods that are 41.12 Safe and a must-have. Unfortunately this means that many Ricco's UI mods aren't included, as they aren't updated yet. I will update this collection once they are.
Please read the Collection description for the best experience.
This collection includes all KI5's B42 compatible vehicles(Including Trailers & Containers), except the limo. Also Project RV Interior is included.
For a more detailed mod list, read the Notable features section. If you use any other mods than the ones listed in this collection, I do not guarantee anything. This modlist was tested and checked in a 30 hour playthrough, exactly as it is, on V41.12.1 rev:31858

  • Can become Brave & Desensitized after a certain amount of kills (Becoming Desensitized removes Cowardly, Claustrophobic, Agoraphobic or Hemophobic)

    - A pump placed next to water source (Well, water tile(Tainted source, needs charcoal filter)). It needs electricity
    - Make pipe connections to a building (Not player made) or a barrel. Then add connections, valves, flow meters or sprinklers
  • Interactive tailoring for more XP and immersion.


Sandbox & Mod(By pausing game) Options to adjust
  • Regarding Vehicle Repair Overhaul (VRO) mod settings there are 2 options:
    1. Challenging: Disable "Engine Rebuilding" feature in VRO, and use/enable the mod Restore Engine Quality
    2. Easy : Enable "Engine Rebuilding" feature, disable the mod Restore Engine Quality

      As I see, the authors of "Vehicle Repair Overhaul" have merged "Easy Engine Rebuild" into their mod today.
      If you prefer an easy mode , use Vehicle Repair Overhaul – since 2025-08-13 it lets you rebuild engines for a fixed cost of 25 engine parts (unchanged even at high Mechanic levels) and requires the engine to be at 90% condition (achievable via vanilla repair).
      If you prefer a more challenging, lore-friendly approach , use this mod – you can restore engine quality from any condition with few parts, but total parts needed depend on Mechanic skill, vehicle type, and starting quality (which may require far more than 25 engine parts to restore to 100%).
  • Lighter & Matches uses (Vanilla defaults are 5, adjust to your flavor)
  • TwistOnFire QoL Modpack:
    - Turn off options that conflict with CleanUI (Read options description on hovering the option) They should be disabled by default, but double-check
  • Battery Life duration can be changed, its prolonged to double (0.5 value). 1.0 is vanilla duration, 0.5 is double, 0.25 is quadruple, 0.0 is infinite.



Mod Load order priority
First enable the mods, one by one, and select the desired version where you can only pick 1 variant of a mod (This is for Immersive Preservation & TwisTonFire Better Trapping mod only).You dont need Project RV Interior Server addon, that can be left disabled. Click ACCEPT and let it reload.

After opening the mod menu again with mods enabled and reloaded, click the MOD ORDER button and click on SORT. Afterwards, you need to make sure the following mod order is followed for maximum compatibility. It doesnt matter if there are mods in between them, but they need to follow the order:
  1. Vanilla Bugfixes (ALWAYS put this on top of the mod load order). Underneath it put RV Interior on second place. You will have to do this manually.
  2. that DAMN Library -> KI5's vehicles -> Vehicle Seat UI (KI5) -> Restore Engine Quality (If not using VRO's engine repair feature in sandbox mod options) -> Vehicle Repair Overhaul (VRO)
  3. Starlit Library -> Crafting XP Display -> CleanUI
  4. CleanUI -> Clean UI B42.12 Hotfix -> Smarter Storage -> CleanHotbar
  5. Survival HUD -> True Smoking -> Moodle Description Expanded

!!! IMPORTANT !!!

Use Chewing Tobacco Fix (build 42.12) mod ONLY If you have V42.12.0-V42.12.1. In these versions of the game, the Stress and Unhappiness don't work anymore. Chewing Tobacco will basically disable these moodlets for you and you won't ever get them. This is an issue with the game, not this modlist and will be fixed in V42.12.2
