So, what's this list about?
The Director's Cut is a small collection of content mods with deep integrations for the The best of the Experience, plug-and-play, Combat Extended-focused collection. With the Generic Ammo Experience and its submods, this collection includes about three thousand XML patches and numerous compatibility assemblies to make sure everything works nicely together. Check out the original collection here!

Mods of note:
Biocodable Apparel and its hardcore patch make looting gear, especially spacer gear, far more difficult but rewarding! It makes making your own apparel, and finding non-biocoded spacer gear, far more satisfying!

The Sovereignty is an in-house industrial faction with a custom diplomacy mechanic. The faction is designed to be a fun challenge, I've found most industrial faction mods to be rather lacking on that front. The Sovereignty comes with many custom pawns utilizing niche Combat Extended features! Elites will throw down smoke to cover assaults, machine gunners will lay down suppressing fire, and the faction will utilize all the industrial gear the player can!
Extensive integration patches for Combat Extended and the Generic Ammo Experience are in place to make sure everything works perfectly!

The experience also brings a revision of warcaskets from Vanilla Factions Expanded - Pirates with a custom durability mechanic! Warcaskets can now fully degrade and have their armor worn out. As warcaskets are not meant to be able to 'break' like traditional gear, I also implemented a custom repair system for warcaskets!

The CIWS Systems mod brings a dedicated close-in weapons system that can shoot down incoming shells and drop pods!

The buffs and nerfs module of the experience brings a full makeover of Vanilla Factions Expanded - Medieval 2's troop tree! Medieval units utilize gear from Vanilla Armour Expanded and Combat Extended Armors, and are now far more appropriately armed. Some units, like the handgunner, had their gear set completely redone from scratch!

Speaking of buffs and nerfs, that module also brings a complete rework of laser weapons! No longer are laser cells just fancy bullets, each laser cell will completely top up a laser weapon's charge and the charge capacities and damage values of all laser weapons have been rebalanced around this. This makes laser weapons far more viable, as even just a handful of laser cells, while relatively expensive, can keep a laser rifle shooting for many quadrums!

Makeshift weapons, now requiring no components to craft, act as a stepping stone between simple gunpowder weapons and proper rifles. They also now consume new makeshift ammo that you can craft at a crafting spot! No longer do you need to source regular ammo for them.

Some new fancy visual effects!

And to top things off, a small variety of tribal gear has been added with River's tribal apparel mods.

Oh, and Cozy Heater.

Notes
- ReBuild and the two Vanilla Furniture Expanded mods are the prerequisites of the Sovereignty mod. If you don't want to play with the Sovereignty, you may safely remove those.

- For the mod load order itself, simply autosorting the whole list should work. The experience has a loadAfter/loadBefore entries for every mod in this collection so things should sort themselves out.
However, if you'd like to manually sort the mod yourself, the general rule is:
\- Mods that are patched by Combat Extended, like the Vanilla Expanded series of mods, should be loaded before Combat Extended.
\- Mods with built-in Combat Extended patches, like the Cat's Boots and Gloves mod, should be loaded after Combat Extended.
\- The Generic Ammo Experience should be loaded after Combat Extended, and its various sub-mods should come after it. If you're unsure about what goes where, follow the instructions the mod manager gives you.
