Eruption Mission Pack 2: New World Order (Alternate History) [BETA]

描述
The sequel to my first Eruption Campaign, this mission pack explores the more far-reaching consequences of the Yellowstone Eruption and the Western Revolution of 1986. Sedition is in the air; once again most of these scenarios involve NATO vessels against other NATO vessels (there are some exceptions though) as the player is in command of the rag-tag fleet of the breakaway nations of the West Coast. This time I've focused more on the asymmetric warfare angle, and there are definitely some scenarios that have been designed to put the player at a disadvantage.

I'm calling this the “BETA” version of these missions because I know I want to revisit them if/when certain features get added to the game. For example, the devs have shared images of new ground vehicle models and ships from other nations that I would like to include at some point. I was just having so much fun making missions that I couldn't wait and wanted to share with all of you. So expect updates in the future ;)

I realize that the list of required mods is quite long; unfortunately that's just the reality of playing a game in early access. Hopefully some of the ships and aircraft from said mods will be included in the final release.

This mission pack is designed to be less of a campaign and more of a set of individual stories taking place in a shared setting. That said, here are the missions in chronological order:

-The Forgotten Front: In a cruel bit of irony, the Royal Hawaiian Navy embarks on their own quest for colonial conquest in the Pacific.
-The Attu Incident (Red Storm and Operation Snowman): A harsh November storm conceals a clandestine strike on the islands of Attu and Shemya. There are two versions of this mission: one that represents the “Official Story,” and another based on an in-universe conspiracy theory.
-Guardians of the Homeland: On a gray and misty Oregon evening, the Cascadian Coast Guard receives a report of an unauthorized vessel approaching the shore.
-Return of the Wolfpack: far from home, a trio of submarines closes in on an American convoy, in hopes that a decisive blow will bring them to the negotiating table.

Although not required, I would also reccomend "Air Deck Operations Upgrade - NTU" mod for enhanced carrier ops.

*KNOWN ISSUES*
-As with the first pack, I’m using the Jolly Roger (Pirate Flag) to symbolize the fictitious West Coast nations. This causes an error message while loading the mission, however it doesn't seem to have any effect in-game. Some of the status messages are kind of goofy because of this too. If/when I can figure out modding for this game I will create appropriate flags and add them.

-After the latest updates AnchorChain, SeaLifter, and several other mods are also throwing up a bunch of error messages during loading. Again, the missions still seem to be working fine. Just click “Ignore” during loading. Hopefully they will be updated soon.

-Airbases spawning with autogenerated buildings on top of them; this is an issue with Sea Power itself. I made the decision to have the airbases located in the correct location geographically. In situations where the location of an airbase is pertinent to the story of the mission, I have made sure there are no conflicts. In some other cases, the airbases are built in the middle of an urban area and I had no other option. Seeing as this is Sea Power and not Land Power I don't spend much time looking at airbases unless I'm watching planes take off or land, so it doesn't bother me personally. You can turn off autogens in the game options if it really bothers you.

-I’ve noticed sometimes land vehicles will drive off into the sea. Unfortunately again this is an issue with the game itself, hopefully it will be fixed soon. Destruction of these vehicles is not the primary mission objective for any of the missions. Honestly, it's pretty comical watching a tank drive at top speed along the sea floor.

-I've had to use stand-in models for several ships, again, my hope is that the real ships will either get added to the game or modded in at a later date.

I had it unlisted for a bit while I did some troubleshooting. It should be visible now.
