H2 Hummel by EINSCHLAG

Container VTOL & Sky Crane
The Hummel is a purpose-built container transport VTOL combining speed, precision, and versatility in one unique aircraft. With powerful twin diesel engines, two ISO container cranes, and helicopter-to-plane transition capability, it delivers containers at speeds up to 625 km/h or provides precise positioning at 10 km/h.

Perfect for logistics operations, remote base supply, and rapid deployment scenarios, this flying container crane features comprehensive flight systems, ground access elevator, and remote control capability. Single-pilot operation with optional navigator makes it ideal for demanding transport missions in any environment.

Top Speeds:
  • Plane Mode + 2 Engines: 625 km/h
  • Plane Mode + 1 Engine: 480 km/h
  • Helicopter Mode + 1-2 Engines: 85 km/h
  • Helicopter Mode + 1-2 Engines + Position Hold Enabled: 10 km/h

This VTOL offers:
  • Two custom diesel-powered Saturn Engines with "Quick Start"/Automatic Engine Controls
  • Crew size: 1-2
  • Carry 1-4 ISO containers
  • Two ISO container cranes, that can each hold two containers in a stacked configuration
  • Ground Access Elevator (Call it using the buttons on the engines when landed | lowers to ground or sea level)
  • Retractable landing gear
  • Altitude and heading hold as well as map-based autopilot
  • Radar, sonar and transponder triangulator
  • Comprehensive lighting (search light, position, landing, anti-collision, interior, standby, warning lights)
  • Navigator station with dedicated seat
  • Roof access
  • Center winch located on the roof for easy access
  • Reserve tanks
  • Automatic heater (arctic ready)
  • Plenty equipment for different scenarios

Quick Start Procedure
  1. Make sure the vehicle is powered and "Avionics" are enabled
  2. Sit in the pilot’s seat
  3. Use the engine quick start key to automate engine controls

Manual Startup Procedure
  1. Make sure the vehicle is powered and "Avionics" are enabled
  2. Occupy the pilot's seat
  3. Activate both engines using the "Engine (Engine 1)" and "Engine (Engine 2)" switches
  4. Engage propellers via "Engage Propeller (Engine 1)" and "Engage Propeller (Engine 2)" switches
  5. Power up generators using "Generator (Engine 1)" and "Generator (Engine 2)" switches
  6. Enable "Full Speed"-Buttons for Engine 1 and Engine 2

How to transport containers
  1. Make sure you are in helicopter mode and position as well as altitude hold are enabled
  2. Lower the front container crane (button or hotkey)
  3. The crane should lower to container pickup height
  4. Hover over the container
  5. Enable front container connectors (using the flip switch in the cockpit)
  6. Make sure that the container is connected, then raise the front cargo crane
  7. If it doesnt come right up (for heavy containers), just wait a bit and it will hopefully snap into place
  8. If it gets stuck, just lower and raise it a few times until it snaps into place

Note: To pick up another container or containers at different heights, you can adjust the winch length of the cranes and the elevator. Either on the elevators instrument panel, per remote control or with a throttle lever in the cockpit.

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. Fly safe. :hellionfunny:

Ah, its a bit different to just selecting a place on the map in game and hitting autopilot. That makes sense. Thanks. I'll try it out.

@.puddi

You can read all about the autopilot here: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3277846721

You can add multiple waypoints either directly on the map or by opening the coordinate input window, clicking on the coordinates, then entering the coordinates through the keypad. Then there are two buttons (left: add it as waypoint | right: jump to location). I hope this helps. Amazing autopilot/map, but this is the one thing that could be improved on as it is a bit tedious. But that's alright. :')

Start the autopilot using the button on the respective instrument panel. Those should be labeled nicely - if there is labeling that could be improved, let me know.

How does the autopilot work?

hi

@dsed22 Driving or hovering? The easiest way is to toggle on altitude and position hold, enable remote control, activate front/rear connectors and then just do it standing on the ground next to the container. I hope that helps.

I CANT LINE UP THE BACK CONTAINER CRANE
Reysn  [作者] 6 月 14 日 上午 8:22
@rcconboy I just tested it and I could not find any issues. But I added the ability to release containers on the ground by disabling the connectors of the container, which now automatically releases the hardpoint. I hope this is useful. :')

@rcconboy I did never run into that issue. Maybe some components are damaged or not all cables are connected? Could you provide more information or a video? Maybe we can find out what went wrong. :')

how to fix this?
