Welcome to the Magnificent Moths mod!!

I really love moths, and I really love Starbound, so... I decided to combine the two!! This mod is ALL about moth-only content!

The cute creatures in this mod are known as Colossal Silk Moths, created by the Miniknog to optimize silk production. Clearly, things didn't go as planned... Now these moths are pretty much everywhere - literally! These moths can spawn at night in a variety of biomes, from vanilla to modded, thanks to their extremely hardy nature.

Speaking of being hardy, these Colossal Silk Moths are pretty tough, too! They are...

+50% Resistant to Electric, Fire, Ice, & Poison Damage
+15% Resistant to Physical Damage

Sounds scary, right?
Fear not, these moths are passive by default and capturable at 100% health! They can be your friend as soon as possible!
But why are they so resistant to various types of damage? Well, you can thank the Miniknog for that... And maybe I'm a bit biased, hehe!

If adding to an existing universe, you'll need to travel some distance from your current location to generate new planets and biomes with moths added to their spawn pool!

If you want to try this mod out but are uncertain whether you'll keep it or not, please back up your characters/universe.
You can do this by copying the entire storage folder from your Starbound directory.

What makes this mod NOT uninstall friendly?

This mod adds monster spawning support to vanilla and modded biomes. Even when the mod is removed, old planets will still have the moth listed in their spawn pool, and will keep trying to spawn them.
