This is an unofficial EaWX submod for Fall of the Republic; this was not created by the EaWX development team.

Description:
Features many changes made to the Peristent Damage system, units are tracked via game object IDs, allowing multiple units of the same type to be tracked at once.
Adds Galactic Conquest submod configuration for Persistent Damage changes: adding new units to gameplay mechanic changes.
Adds additional quality-of-life UI display changes, including stats listing view toggle.

Features:
* Galactic Conquest submod configuration popup appears at start of each campaign to give more customisation.
* Additional units can be enabled for persistent damage based on the following condition:
- Units which can only built at Capital | Dreadnought shipyards. (T3 | T4)
* Dreadnought (T4) units repair 20% per cycle for 4% unit build cost
* Capital (T3) units repair 30% per cycle for 3% unit build cost

* Additional gameplay mechanics can be enabled for persistent damage:
- Units in orbit of friendly shipyards provide additional healing for no additional fee, repair rate changes:
* T1 | T2 shipyards = 1.1x repair
* T3 | T4 shipyards = 1.2x repair
- AI attacking/defending against other AI factions can inflict persistent damage based on fleet size/combat power.
* Damage inflicted starts from ~100 fleet size attacks/defence, up to maximum ~400 fleet size.

Head over to your Empire at War in your Steam Library, select Settings > Properties, and via the Launch Options text box, copy and paste the next line seen below:

Please note that any files ending in .lua will require a new save to be made.

Why yes it can with the update that Petroglyph provided, you can track individual unit ID's both in tactical and galactic modes. It's possible to make a system where you can upgrade units and heroes after a condition is met.

As for myself, I don't have interests at the moment to create such a submod.

say... could the mechanics use for Presistant damage, also work to let some units 'level up' like in other rts?

I removed the build limit on the unit XML data found in the files.
To do this yourself, go to the following path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\32470\1976399102\Data\XML\Units
Then find: Republic_Space_Units.xml (Make a backup of this file when you want to revert the build limit)

Look for `<SpaceUnit Name="Mandator_I_Dreadnought">` in the file and inside its ship data, find <Build_Limit_Current_Per_Player> and <Build_Limit_Lifetime_Per_Player> then either set to a higher value from 1 or delete the line.

That's actually good idea and it should be integrated with the next FoTR/Trawn's/Revan's Revenge patches.
