Dark Ages : Beasts and Monsters

描述


A new entry of the Dark Ages series inspired by medieval fantasy, folklores and tales in order to bring you new creatures to populate the lands of the rim. I have tried to make them fit amongst other vanilla-like animals to the best of my abilities and i certainly hope that you will enjoy them.

This mod has been partially tested in a proper playthrough, so some stats may be off, some critters might be underpowered. Let me know in the comments if you find something that i may have missed.

Q: Can you add this mod in a non-medieval playthrough ?
A: Of course, they'll just be a bit less threatening. But nothing is tech restricted.

Q: Can i add it in my current game ?
A: It should not be problematic. Tho i advise against as some features won't be present like the bearded troll hunting behaviors and the such.

Q: Will you add more to the mod ?
A: Yes, in time.

Q: What can i do with the petrifying gland ?
A: Nothing for now.

Q: How can i properly report an issue ?
A: Be sure to explain what happened properly and send a log.

Q: Somethingsomething CE ?
A: I am not responsible for anything CE, anything CE is on CE.


Q: Why is there an owlbear and why is it named taraal here ?
A: It is a re-used asset from past-me as i didn't really want to leave it in the dust, however i didn't really feel like giving it the D&D name so i went for this. (Don't sue me Wizard of the coast)

@Ms. Succubus Not just those, but yes. Note that every error spamming in the log also just slows down your game no matter what. It's also very hard to read a log that is filled to the brim with red text

Oh yea, I know, thanks. But the vast majority are related to audio files, so I'm not really concerned about those.

You may also want to verify files integrity, to see if it may help with the problem

@Ms. Succubus You have a bunch of other problems unrelated to the mod which doesn't help- notably a WHOLE lot of errors. You may want to clean those up.

@Sir Van This has been a wild ride. I'm on Linux, so naturally Hugslib share function does not work. And I could only find Player.log so that's all I can offer.

It only logged very limited information (at least as far as I can tell) at lines 1814-1817:

@Ms. Succubus Hugslib, open up the console, share log (after you spawned in 5 trillions bones or sangonite), throw the link. Hugslib's kind of a relic of the past nowadays but i don't remember which one people uses to share up logs today

@Ms. Succubus Thanks, drogs were part of the first animals from the mod. And some mod does break this little part of the code. Could you redo what you just did and throw me a full log ? So we can see if there's something in there worth noting,

@Sir Van So, I just spawned both. The toad (really cute by the way, I love him) spawned about 4 stacks of giant bones and the drog spawned about... 300 stacks? Playing with increased stack sizes as well, so I ended up with a total of about a quarter of a million bones.
And going through the debug log, it seems it couldn't even spawn the remaining loot table because there was just no space around the pawn.
