Hello, my name is is SirLalaPyon, to cut it short, one thing led to another and then suddenly I made an overhaul. Figured might as well make everything I want in my medieval playthrough and put it into one mod. And so, lo and behold, my first actual mod.



This mod is mainly inspired by Medieval Times, Battle Brothers, KeeperRL, Thea, and Crossroads Inn. It adds some features of each game/mod, catered to my preferences.

The main goal of this mod is to prolong and enhance the medieval and tribal experience of rimworld. Making it more enjoyable, especially for medieval peeps like me.



-Unfertilized egg market values are nerfed to the point where they can actually make profit when making meals
-Grass drops hay
-Simple research bench retextured
-Removed unused leathers
-Removed steel, plasteel, and components mineable spawns
-Steel is researched locked
-Edited and moved Longblades, Plate armor, recurve bow, and Greatbow research to Medieval Tab



-This overhaul will be incompatible with any other mod that touches steel, silver and gold defs

-Any mod that retextures the simple research bench, Steel, and Gold. Place this mod below it to override their retexture.















































Q: Where can I make tannin?
A: Campfire and rustic stove

Q: How get coal?
A: Mineable coal spawns throughout the map. There is also a bill to create charcoal in the furnace.

Q: Does this mod block research ?
A: It does not.

Q: But why?
A: My mod will rely on Remove Industrial Tech, World Tech Level, or any other external mod for limiting of tech.

Q:Is this compatible with VE Medieval?
A:Yes, the onehanded weapons are configured to be useable with their shields.

Q: How can I make steel?
A: Research alchemy then steel in order for the recipe to show up at the furnace

Q:Is this CE compatible?
A:Not sure, ask CE

RimPy has not been updated in literally years. The game has changed significantly, and some functions are now not only unhelpful, but actively harmful for some mods & the game itself. Using unnecessary & old software to mod a game is not recommended for *any* game or setup. Do you need an external mod manager? No. If you want one though, there are alternatives that are NOT years-out-of-date.

Is that why you're having a problem? IDK. Maybe yes, maybe no. But it's a possible cause, and I (along with many others) are currently running MO without that issue. The only thing I know about your setup that's different from mine is the presence of RimPy, so... That's my first thought.

Could also be (mod) file corruption that'd be solved by reverifying through Steam. Maybe try that first?

So to anyone having trouble with the game never stuck on initializing when MO is active check the size of your files cause for whatever reason MO's file was 700mb for me, I deleted the mod and resubscribed to it and now it's back to a normal size.

Pawns will not eat out of slop or ragout pots, apparently this is a well known common issue but I cannot find a fix for it.

Having a weird issue where the research bench isn't showing up, I'm also using VFE - Tribals and doing a wild men run, but I've finished the basics tab and the table is just... not showing up in the building menu. Anyone seen this before? Using world tech level as well, if that helps.

I'm not sure what it is, but Rimworld is seizing up on "Initializing" every time I Run the game from RIMPY and thru Steam. For the record, I am not blaming MO, as I honestly don't know what is causing the issue. I am simply stating what is happening and seeking help.

I removed every mod to try and figure it out, then reinstalled them 1-4 at a time. Every mod I put back works and the game will run as normal. Until I put MO back in, then it stops functioning again and always gets stuck on the little "Initializing..." window, every time. I have 72 mods that work with absolutely no errors or warnings. I have 19 mods, all MO related and require MO to function.
I thought it may have something to do with VEF but it does not. I had removed VEF and everything VEF related, tried to put MO (just MO) back in, and it does the same exact thing.

I have described the problem well enough I think so if anyone needs my mod list to figure it out, I can screenshot what I am using in RIMPY. Thanks!

Does it make sense to install Vanilla expanded cooking? It looks like some of the functionality is here too.

Hello, this is pretty cool, been using the mod for a while. It's probably been suggested before but it would be cool to see a perpetual stew building.

Keep the fire fueled and pot full of ingredients and pawns can come and just get meals from it like a nutrient paste meal dispenser.

Love this mod, but I don't know, why can I do research in Animal Tech Era on Researching Spot, because it should be off.
