Kriger T45MX with Atlas HD3

So that massive 858K Recovery vehicle is way too large for your mining operation but at the same time a conventional truck with lowboy is too small. You need a big machine...but not too big. Enter the T45MX!

As you can see, on the front of the hood you can see on top the word KRIG...VIC? It's not a Kriger? Well as they say, if it's not a Kriger, it's a goner!

Oh, I've just been informed that VIC is a Kriger?

See, a long time a go, Kriger tried to enter the 8x8 military truck market with their Victory line of trucks but it didn't go very well. Surprisingly, that truck did end up selling a lot more in the oildfield industry instead of the military and to this day, there are talks around the roughnecks of oil rigs how Vic(tory) trucks were and still are the best and so Kriger has opened a subsidiary to manufacture mining equipment while following the same ethos old Victory trucks followed; simple, big, powerful. VIC.

This isn't Kriger's first truck but is the first one carrying the VIC badge. The T45MX is an off-road monster pulling machine and paired with this machine is Kriger's very own super strong sleek steel sidekick the Atlas HD3 lowboy trailer.

The Atlas HD3 lowboy trailer has an extremely low power consumption meaning your truck won't need special generators to keep the batteries charged when operating an Atlas HD3.

Now, let's get on board the T45MX and see how it works!

OPERATION:
The T45MX is air started which means upon turning the Ignition key you will hear an engine start but that isn't the main engine. That small engine only runs the compressor for the Air Starter. Wait until AIR 1 reaches 59 PSI.

The LOW AIR alarm shuts off at 30 PSI but remember to let it pressurize until at least 59 PSI.

Once that's the case, while keeping the Ignition still on, flip the AIR START switch and that will bring the massive main engine to life. You'll hear a beeping and will see an alarm light up with AIR START ON! You can't leave the AIR START switch on; shut it off.

Now everything is running and AIR 1 is filling back to 59 as well as AIR 2. AIR 1 is only for the Air Start while AIR 2 is for the brakes.

At this point, right below the AIR START switch you will see a FRONT WHEEL ASSIST switch. Flip it on, this will help with traction.

The truck has a very simple shuttle control and no extra function are needed to operate.

To operate the Atlas HD3;
at the rear of the trailer you will see WINCH controls to lift or lower the ramps

near the trailer neck, you will see HYDRAULICS controls to lower or raise the trailer axles to help with machinery driving up the trailer.

You will also see OUTRIGGER controls; to drop the OUTRIGGERS first press the button on the trailer that says OUTRIGGERS RELEASE then crank the OUTRIGGER CRANK a bit. That won't lock the outriggers but will be enough to push the trailer up a bit.
Go to the right side of the truck near the KINGPIN SWASHPLATE and you'll see a key to RELEASE KINGPIN.
Go back to the trailer and crank the OUTRIGGER CRANK and that will push the trailer up and lock the outriggers in place. You can disconnect the AIR and POWER line from the truck.

To hook up to the Atlas HD3, make sure the RELEASE KINGPIN is not on and back your truck into the KINGPIN until it snaps. Then go up on the trailer and hook the AIR and POWER cables. Go to the side of the trailer and push the OUTRIGGER RELEASE buttons and then crawl under the trailer and manually lift both outriggers and this will lock them in place.
