The custom maps and mods make this a great purchase in 2019. Recommended to COD zombies fans.

EDIT 2020: The game is still worth it. Campaign story wise isn't that great but the maps you go to are very interesting and this campaign has features that have never been done before in cod and no other cod after it have done so the campaign is still fun to play. It is harder to find people in the MP mode, but when the game was at its peak it had many things you can unlock. Though you can no longer play party game modes (gun game, sticks and stones, one in the chamber) in matchmaking since Treyarch removed that option around the time when BO4 came out sadly. But you would still be able to play the mode in private matches and through the server browser (if you find a server hosting the modes). The zombies mode in this game will always be one of the best out the entire black ops franchise. The game is still getting top quality custom maps that rival and/or surpass official maps in quality. Features from future CoD titles have and will continue to make their way to bo3 zombies. Like game modifiers in MWR zombies and the Perk modifiers from bo4.
