i just got it and im wondering if its safe to play

never got to experience this game in its prime, but it always looked interesting to me, 20 bucks seems interesting, but if its dead i dont really want to waste my money

Crashing at start up and a message pops up next time I try to launch the game asking to start in safe mode, which also crashes. Currently re-downloading the game onto my C-drive (couldnt just move it over for some reason) as I heard this could be the issue but if that doesnt fix it does anyone have any clue whats wrong? as soon as riley is on screen, or a attack dog in mp, my fps goes from 120+ to a solid 2 unless im far enough away and not looking at riley. terrain detail and "dynamic fur" set to off does NOT fix it
