This game ruined muh life

I found the campaign overall pretty boring. Apart from a few missions, most of them follow the same logic. You need to reach a checkpoint to save the game. After that the mission plot progresses. Sometimes you don't even have to kill people on your way. CoD4 pretends to give you several options regarding your strategy, but in fact it's a linear shooter. The plot is boring, filled with post cold war cliches. I stopped following it after the 2nd or 3rd mission. The graphics are cinematic though and still look cool to this day.
The multiplayer mode is pretty much dead in comparison to what it used to be 15 years ago. Overall this makes this game quite an ordeal.
