i love aw story its full of content , and better than newer cod .

First and foremost, I should mention that I only play the Call of Duty series for the campaigns -- they serve as a nice palette cleanser when I've been on a run of more cerebral games. It's nice to just point and shoot your way through the video game equivalent of a Michael Bay movie, and Call of Duty has always delivered in that regard. If you're looking for a multiplayer focused review you'll have to look elsewhere as I haven't touched it, and have no intention to.

Advanced Warfare is decent enough as a solo FPS campaign, and it throws in a few unique features that I haven't seen before in the Call of Duty series, such as the ability to upgrade your character. The exo suit abilities are fun, though the downside is that if you're looking for a traditional Call of Duty game, Advanced Warfare doesn't quite scratch the itch in the same way World at War or Modern Warfare does. It's also obvious that a lot of the abilities, as well as many of the vehicle segments, were designed with a controller in mind, and don't properly take advantage of the PC controls. Still, I'm having fun playing through it and I'm going to complete it, and I almost never finish a game unless I'm really enjoying it.

Pushing a solid 7/10 experience into the "not recommended" category are the PC issues. There are a lot of framerate drops in cut-scenes, including FMVs, and the game crashes for me at the conclusion of almost every mission. It hasn't erased any progress but it's still a bit of an annoyance. As an ultrawide monitor user, it supports the resolutions, but not well. Things aren't stretched in game, but the menus don't fit properly. I recently finished Modern Warfare 2019 and it was flawless in this regard, and while AW is an older title, it was still disappointing to see cut corners in a game with such a ridiculous budget.

Honestly, if I had played AW on console back when it came out, I would probably have recommended it. If you like the Call of Duty campaigns you'll probably enjoy this one, despite all of the future tech giving it a different vibe. While I can't say I didn't have fun, the PC version is just not good enough to recommend to others given the crashes and performance issues, especially on modern PCs that should have no trouble with it.
