This isn't griefing. This isn't KOS. This isn't a place for "pwning some n00bs." This isn't pressure to perform. This isn't ridicule, judgement and expectation. This isn't hardcore.

So, what is this group, then? A convivial alternative to public matchmaking, This Isn't Hardcore is a private group where novice and casual players can meet up for friendly, competitive and co-op multiplayer gaming sessions for a variety of games (scroll down to the Associated Games list on the lower right of this page for some of the games we're currently playing and/or would like to play).

If you are a beginner and your goal is to improve, you will likely find that with TIH you can be challenged in-game without being overwhelmed. And if you are a casual gamer with limited time to play, or someone who is less interested in improvement, but just wants to relax, have fun, and enjoy a gaming experience with some new friends, then this is the place for you.

We try our best to accommodate time zone differences when scheduling events, and we are nothing if not flexible -- members are free to drop-in or drop-out of scheduled pvp matches and/or co-op games whenever they wish. Members are encouraged to use the Events calendar to schedule matches or just start one on the spot. Not sure what to play? Create a discussion thread or group chat room and kick around game suggestions with fellow members.

We also try to maintain active forums for discussion, information, special content, and as a means for members to get to know one another. We currently have eight sub-forums, which you can access on the lower right hand side of the page of the Discussions tab.

Despite our group name, hardcore gamers are welcome to join, but we ask of them what we ask of all members -- that they be respectful and considerate to fellow members, irrespective of skill level or gaming experience. All events (but especially, pvp) are hosted with casual and novice players in mind, so if you would like to participate as a more advanced player, please exercise patience, tolerance and restraint.

This Isn't Hardcore hosts private matches/game sessions only. The owners and officers reserve the right to kick uninvited non-members who join games in progress. Non-member invites to matches are at the discretion of the game host and the group administrators.
