“Redistribution”: providing the original Work or modified versions to third parties in any form (source code, binary, container image, package distribution, etc.).
Subject to full compliance with this License, the Author grants you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for the following Non-Commercial rights:
Use, reproduce, and modify the Work;
Redistribute the original Work or modified versions;
Integrate and release the Work as part of your Non-Commercial project.
All such rights are conditioned upon attribution and inclusion of this License (see Section 2 and Section 3).
Any public use or redistribution (including modified versions) must prominently retain the following information:
Author’s name and copyright notice: © (year) (author/organization);
License name and version: Open Non-Commercial — Contact for Commercial License (ONCL-C) v0.1;
Original project link (if any) and the full text of this License;
For modified versions: you do not need to specify the changes you made, but you must attach this License.
It is recommended to use a unified attribution template (e.g., in README, About page, terminal banner, or application “About” section):
When redistributing the original Work or modified versions, you must include the full text of this License and must not remove or weaken any of its provisions.
For redistribution of modified versions under Non-Commercial Use, this License or its subsequent versions (see Section 8) must continue to apply; you may not replace it with terms that loosen commercial restrictions.
If distributed in source code form, a LICENSE file with this License must be kept in the root directory.
Unless prior written authorization or a separate agreement is obtained from the Author, no Commercial Use is granted. This includes but is not limited to:
Embedding the Work in paid products or services;
Use in enterprise/institutional production environments, customer delivery, pre-sales demonstrations, commercial evaluation, or pilot projects.
For Commercial Use, please contact the Author. The Author may, depending on the scenario, separately determine fees, support, responsibilities, updates, and compliance requirements.
To mitigate unforeseen risks, unless expressly approved in writing by the Author, you may not use the Work for:
Scenarios that violate applicable laws and regulations, infringe on privacy, or breach data protection obligations;
Safety-critical or high-risk domains (such as medical diagnosis, autonomous driving, aerospace, energy control, financial trading systems, military applications, etc.);
Generating or distributing malicious code, bypassing security controls, unauthorized access, or surveillance;
Any use that may cause significant adverse effects on the legal rights of others.
If you require such use, you must first obtain written exemption or a commercial agreement from the Author.
If you submit contributions (e.g., pull requests/patches) to the Author’s project, you agree to grant the Author and all Non-Commercial licensees a free Non-Commercial license equivalent to Section 1 for such contributions, and you agree that the Author may use your contributions in commercial licenses (the Author may authorize customers to use versions containing your contributions under commercial agreements). You retain your original copyright and attribution rights.
The Work is provided “as is”, without any express or implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Author and contributors shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the Work (including but not limited to loss of profits, business interruption, data loss, or indirect, incidental, special, punitive damages).
You are solely responsible for assessing and bearing the compliance and technical risks of using the Work.
The Author retains the final right of interpretation of this License and may release revised or new versions;
Upon the release of a new version, the Author may designate subsequent versions of the Work to adopt the new License, but such changes shall not retroactively alter licenses already lawfully obtained for prior copies/versions;
You may choose to continue using the version of the License accompanying your copy, or migrate to the new version published by the Author.
The Author reserves the right, when necessary, to revoke or modify existing licenses, but such revocation or modification shall only apply to future use and shall not retroactively affect lawful actions completed by the Licensee prior to such modification.
If you violate any provision of this License, the license automatically terminates. You must cease all use and redistribution, and within seven (7) days of becoming aware or being notified, correct the violation and obtain written confirmation from the Author, after which the license may be reinstated once;
For malicious or repeated violations, the Author may refuse reinstatement and reserves the right to pursue remedies;
Termination does not affect other rights or remedies of the Author or third parties.
This License does not grant you the right to use the Author’s trade name, trademarks, service marks, or visual identity, unless prior written permission is obtained.
If any provision is held invalid under applicable law, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. This License constitutes the entire agreement between the parties regarding Non-Commercial use and redistribution of the Work; Commercial Use requires a separate agreement.
Non-Commercial: free to use, modify, and distribute, but must include attribution and this License.
Commercial: must contact the Author and obtain written authorization.
High-risk/illegal/malicious uses: prohibited, require written exemption.
Violations result in termination; the Author retains final interpretation rights and the right to release new versions.
