To delete wrong shader file from 1971:
- Open SMSLauncher
- Select 1971 in mod manager
- Click "Open mod folder"
- Open resource/gamelogic.pak as zip file
- Delete "shader" folder in this zip
- Done!

Can you restart your computer and see if the error disappears on its own.

大佬你好,请问通过模组管理器进入游戏是否需要steam在线。我通过模组管理器登陆游戏,同时steam在线但画面没有变化(模组管理器和游戏内我都将pbr模组启用了的);但关闭steam后再使用模组管理器登录游戏进去几秒就会闪退,我也使用了管理员方式进入,和加入杀毒软件白名单的方法,依然闪退。

Not pretty sure since not only shader files has been modified in this mod.
So recommend your friend to at least load this mod when playing multiplayer.

For setup (launch game from SMS launcher): maybe no need.

btw, You can still load/unload any mods without shader files as usual, just do not do anything on shaders.

So if I get this right?

- Launch the SMS launcher once, use DX11 file replacer, launch the game to force the shader overwrite.
- Then proceed to launch the game through other means and the shaders would still load?
- When the game updates or any file change happens I repeat the process?

you can manually managing shader files, but it is not recommand since you need professional knowledge on this topic. Here is a special solution:

-if you can make sure all shader mod will not change (load/unload) before next time you open SMS Launcher
-if you are using "File Replace" Mode
-if GoH itself does not update any files
-if you will not use "verify file integrity" feature from steam

Then after fist time you loaded shader mod in game: you can open game by anyway you want, it will still support shader mod.

and I will add feature that let SMS launcher with Noresus to potential feature list and see if more people will need it.

Is there a way to load this without using the attached mod manager. There is a pretty cool mod called Noresus that does a lot of interesting thing but it loads mods on its own, because it introduces a second app with a world map.

Can this be installed manually in the game files or something?

about detailed information of this feature:
launcher will automatic collect,load,check shader cache. and modders will be able to including cache pak in their mods.

In this way a specific shader mod can load it's cache from the beginning. which means stutters will also be eliminated from the start.

visit our website by this link. You will see a button on left bottom to open a google form. Fill it out and check Auto Shader Cache Management in it. We'll determine what to do next based on the number of requirement lists

This is because game will compile shader code when it try to render a brand new material type at runtime: when it is compiling game gets stuck.

I have add a feature in launcher to maintain compiled shader cache when no changes is applied to shader code. (you can change other mods in your mod list, it is fine)

Thus, leave pbr mod in your mod list, then stutters will be gone after hours of gaming.

If you hope this issue gets a completely fix: Please submit request list from our official website including auto shader cache management. :happyrv:

The mod introduces stutters and overall does not run great. I usually run the game at max settings with absolutely no problem whatsoever both vanilla and modded (CE, Modern Mod, Cold War etc). Some optimisation is needed definitely.

无需关心,如果你没有发现显著的帧数下降。
该问题极有可能来自goh自身代码的一个着色器编译错误。我暂时没有兴趣解决它。

I see, then
1. This is a graphic mod, but not for a set of specific units, but for overall rendering effect. So it is not including textures, but rendering technology.

2. You can search HD textures or something in workshop, there are some mods repaint the vanilla GoH models. However a popular high-definition texture pack seems has not appeared in workshop.
