Someone asked me about the new ritual to upgrade the Lich:

The name of the ritual is "Rite of Necrotic Ascendancy"
it's a level 3 ritual that requires a Lich and can only be cast in temples.

The spell isn't free meaning you will have to spend some hands of glory to unlock it along with other tier 3 rituals if you're not lucky enough to have it appear on it's own
How do i make a Enigmatic Frost gate? im in a swamp and not able to do it with my frost sorceress

It can only be cast in a swamp within 1 tile away from the Frost Citadel

One thing I'm looking into is creating a powerful summoning ritual for the witch class that will allow the eventual summoning/Revival of The Frost Queen herself.

I'll probably add some constraints like the ritual can only be cast once, in the land of Frost (Ice Elemental Realm) on the terrain of one of the Frost Queen's old Citadels. Of course, you'll have to take this Citadel by force from the current inhabitants. After capturing it, one of the Frost Queen's chosen can perform the ritual in the newly captured Citadel.

With conditions like this, the queen will be a very powerful unit. The chosen are already powerful so imagine their master.

Is this mod balanced? I am currently playing as a Necromancer, and I feel I am waaay to strong.
What's the spoiler upgrade after Archlich? Wondering how to access it.

Other than that, most of what I did was give more mid-endgame options to necromancer and witch. By that time you'll be strong anyways assuming you're not totally losing.

To answer your question though, this is just an extension of the Overhaul Mod, so balance is in relation to that mod not the vanilla game.

haha it's a 2000 hands of god ritual that levels up the Archlich. It's a Tier 4 Necromancer ritual

Mod looks great, but in my first game I've come up across the other faction having 100s of ants with chain lightning. With the romans I don't have anything to counter (20 of their ants wiped 200 of my elite troops easy). Not sure if the ants are your creation or the other mod, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

Ants with chain lightning? I didn't mod anything like that. Why don't you take a screenshot and share the link here so I can take a look.

This mod requires the overhaul mod to be active as well, but even with the overhaul mod, I don't recall seeing such a situation.

What other mods do you have active?

Introducing another reason to explore and Conquer the Nexus. Anyone who owns the Nexus will have a 1% chance to recruit a main commander from another class for 1000 gold.
I don't know if this is a thing for this mod or the one it relies on, but what determines the Warlock's start? Sometimes when I play them they start with 4 warlocks and 4 gem mines, and sometimes they have a lot less than that.

Hi there, since this mod doesn't touch the warlock class (except for generic additions that all other classes have), what you are talking about may be coming from "The Conquest of Elysium 5 Total Overhaul" this one depends on.

That said, starting positions in general can be kind of finicky. Sometimes the map generates itself in a certain way where you don't get all the starting positions you are afforded
