AI Control Switches Guide - Please Read
With update 1.2, I have added my control switch system to this map that will let you control the spawning of each and every AI group that appears on map. There are two types of switches on this map - automatic spawned forces and quick response spawned forces. Below will describe how the system works, and which buttons control which squads.

**A warning before we proceed: Please be careful with all of these new controls you now have. The AI’s engine, and Halo 3’s game engine can be easily overstressed when too many AI are alive and present on map at once. I do not recommend having all squads enabled, plus using the QRF switches simultaneously. Too many AI on map can lead to intelligence loss, and game stability issues. Proceed with caution.**

For a normal, automatic AI deployment control switch, these rules apply:

  • A solid and intermittent flashing GREEN switch indicates the squad is disabled and ready for activation.

  • A solid YELLOW switch indicates the squad is enabled and in use.

Quick Response Force Switches Layout

The UNSC/Elites team features two controllers near the Banshee pad facing the waterfront, which will call back the initial surviving Elites/Grunts, and Marines if the player wants them to spawn again. Press a button once, and it turns to yellow. Your corresponding AI squad should now spawn in. Please do not press the switch again after the switch becomes yellow. The button will automatically revert to green once all members of the squad have been eliminated. At this time, you are now free to use the switch again. These quick response buttons will always be located on the base exterior. Manually reverting the switch to green can lead to instability with the system/code.

1. Left Switch - Initial Elites/Grunts.
2. Right Switch - Initial Marines

Survivors Regular Switch Layout

Inside the waterfront tower, you will find three switches. Two are near the side entrances, and an additional switch is on the wall facing the rear exit ramp. These control your automatically respawned forces that are brought in via dropship. So, when on the ramp leading down into the tower interior:

1. Center Button - AI Spartan Pelican Drop (Defaults to OFF)
2. Left Side Button - Special Ops Elites Phantom Drop* (Defaults to ON)
3. Right Side Button - ODST Pelican Drop* (Defaults to ON)

*The Elites and ODST drop can also sometimes ferry in AI vehicles that will assist the team. Keep in mind that not every drop will include a vehicle.

Flood Regular Switch Layout

The Flood also features switches that offer full control over all of their types. They do not have any quick response switches, so this section will only cover their automatic spawn controllers. When on the Flood tower’s Banshee pad, you will find two switches. These control the dispersal pod deployed pureforms and carrier forms. So, when facing the waterfront tower and the battlefield:

1. Pure Forms Dispersal Pods - (Defaults to OFF)
2. Carrier Dispersal Pods - (Defaults to ON)

When heading into the interior lower level of the Flood tower, you will come across a button on the central wall of the base. This controls the random dispersal pod drops throughout the battlefield.

1. Assorted Dispersal Pod Drops - (Defaults to ON)

Now, heading into each side exit of the Flood tower, you will come across two additional switches. These control the spawning of the infection forms throughout the map, as well as the combat forms. So, when facing the battlefield in the central interior room of the Flood base:

1. Left Side Exit Switch - Combat Forms Spawning (Defaults to ON)
2. Right Side Exit Switch - Infection Forms Spawning (Defaults to ON)

Sentinel Faction Controls

In addition to the main two factions, this map also has a sentinel group that will fly into the map occasionally. These guys can also now be controlled. When approaching the Forerunner wall in the center of the map opposite the crashed Pelican:

1. Sentinel Squad Spawning - (Defaults to ON)

This concludes the AI switch guide thread. Please leave any questions you may have about this system to me either in this thread, or in the general comments section and I’ll get back to you with help ASAP! Thanks for reading!
