Yet Another Economy Mod - Promods fix [DISCONTINUED]

This is YAEM for Promods users only! If you play at vanilla version of the game - choose YAEM Vanilla.

Yet Another Economy Mod is hard economy mod for Euro Truck Simulator 2 / American Truck Simulator.
Brings many changes to economy model and makes game much harder and longer.
If you think that default economy is too easy - YAEM is for you.

But remember - if you're looking for realistic economy - YAEM is not what you're looking for.
It's balanced, it's hard, it's much more realistic but not real. It is still a game. :-)

BEWARE: Since ETS 1.37.x and Promods 2.46 this mod is now only FIX, not standalone anymore. So it means you NEED to use YEAM / YAEM Lite + Promods fix to work with newest Promods.

Promods fix needs to be set with higher priority then YAEM / YAEM Lite to override Promods related settings!

If classic YAEM is too hard for you try Lite version!

  • 3.3x less experience for driving with cargo (0.3XP per 1KM)
  • 10x less experience for driving without cargo (0.05XP per 1KM)
  • 10x less money for jobs (€1.5 per 1KM + bonuses) with own truck
  • More balanced but smaller bonuses from skills
  • Cheaper garages
  • Bigger but much harder to pay loans
  • 2x more experience needed for new level
  • 2x more experience for manual parking
  • Much bigger penalties and more chance to get caught
  • Bigger bonuses from eco skill which is now useful and important
  • 20 jobs to first loan
  • stable fines amount for all driver levels
  • 55% truck refund
  • 35% fuel discount in own garage
  • Bigger penalty for abandoned delivery
  • More time to deliver cargo
  • More time to find place to sleep

If you find YAEM or YAEM Lite default bank loans or police fines as little too harsh you can alter it with one of addons.
  • Lite Bank Addon - installments of loans are 2x easier to pay but it took 2x more time to pay all of them.
  • Lite Police Addon - police fines are 2x smaller and you got 10 minutes to find place to sleep. Same chance to be caught though.

Example of usage:
  • YAEM Lite + Lite Police = easier economy + hard loans + easier police fines
  • YAEM Lite + Lite Bank = easier economy + easier loans + hard police fines
  • YAEM + Lite Bank = hard economy + easier loans + hard police fines
  • YAEM + Lite Bank + Lite Police = hard economy + easier loans + easier police fines

Your choice.

Remember to set correct loading priority. Addons must be set with higher priority than YAEM / YAEM Lite.



Compatible only with:
  • Euro Truck Simulator 2 1.37.x
  • Promods 2.46
  • Going East! DLC
  • Scandinavia DLC
  • Vive la France! DLC
  • Italia DLC
  • Beyond the Baltic Sea DLC
  • Road to the Black Sea DLC

Not compatible with any other economy changing mods.

For RusMap users:
You need RusMap fix if you want to use RusMap with Promods

YAEM have to be on top of the list, with highest priority possible!
In other case another mods can override economy settings!

Example:
  • YAEM RusMap fix (highest priority)
  • YAEM Poland Rebuilding fix
  • YAEM Promods fix
  • YAEM / YAEM Lite
  • rest of files of other mods

Unfortunately it doesn't work with Promods 2.55, which is a shame because it's the best economy changing mod in my opinion.

ETS2 1.40 and Promods 2.52 -- does this YAEM work with these versions of ETS? is anyone using it and found it working/broken?

a nie możesz dodać na stronie stare wersje do 1.36 ? bo naprawde tyle bylo ustawianie modow i zabawy z tym ze nie bardzo mi tez sie widzi ukladac i sciagac wszystko od nowa w wersji 1.37

@[GZR] DarknessEagleX, it's indeed crashing because of changes to fine system made by SCS in 1.37. It's not my fault and if I want to keep my mod up to date I need to include these changes. There is no mod versioning on steam so I can't support all versions of the game and Promods even if I want to. So... you need to update your game and Promods. I know it could be tough because now Black Sea DLC is mandatory for newest Promods but it's not my fault either. Sorry for inconvenience.

If you really don't want to update you can manually edit YAEM police_data.sii file and delete three lines under "# speeding based progression" section. It could work but I wasn't testing it so it's up to you. If you need some help feel free to ask. Good luck!

well since this new update, my game which id still 1.36 crashes when i press drive. seems like its not compatible with 1.36 anymore which sucks

Hi Reqruiz. Thanks for producing this mod, it really makes the game feel that much more realistic. In order to keep continuity with map combo, I am looking to keep my game on 1.36 for the forseeable and potentially forever, so would it be possible for the up to date .scs files for this one and the rusmap fix. That would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
