Ai or Iq of the cpu is horrible
On my map if I play against the machine she sucks... Horrible, worst than any other map... And if you play in easy she plays better than hard... Is there a way to improve it??? The iq of the map was 4 originally then I raised it but the same...

For skirmish/multiplayer maps, the IQ of all multi-Houses should be put to 0.

Increasing the AI doesn't make the AI "smarter"; it makes it more independent.

I have the problem that they dont attack too much.. so I decided to add structures for the CPU... now its a little bit harder... but after she attacks you 2 times and if you survive the wave... then she plays very silly, sending a little group of units.. and then it turns easy the game.. its a way to make it more harder? Now I will change to 0 like you said and i will test it...

edit: btw, do you know which is the default value for GoldValue and GrowthRate rules ? thx

So is it a singleplayer scenario or a skirmish/multiplayer map? Because IQ should never be put higher than 0 on skirmish/multiplayer maps, since your own side will be one of these Multi# houses, and higher IQ causes the players' own units to get controlled by AI routines as well.

btw, do you know which is the default value for GoldValue and GrowthRate rules ? thx
Just look it up in rules.ini. You can find a convenient downloadable copy here:

yes on multiplayer, changed to 0 and worked better now.,.

rules.ini defines those defaults. The internal defaults in the source code don't matter, because the rules.ini file is inside the classic game files anyway, overriding it.

If you get a .mix file extractor like XCC Mixer, you can find it inside LOCAL.MIX, which is inside REDALERT.MIX, in the "Data\CNCDATA\RED_ALERT\CD1" folder of the C&C Remastered installation.

But that's the default file included in all Red Alert releases anyway; it's always the same, so it'll exactly match the one from the RA Archive download.

Ok. I was thinking of extracting it again because i thought that maybe in the remasted they changed something. They changed nothing?! lol... well I guess Ill stay with the one I get from the RA archive

No, all the classic files are just the originals from the CDs. Any changes they made were done as exceptions added in the game code, not as edits in the old files.
