To make this mission single player compatible without going into the game Editor, open the .scn file in a text editor and change line 15, where it says PLAYER 0, to read... PLAYER 8

8 is the guy Kurt, in the Large Landing Module, on line 20. I suppose you could instead, change Kurt's ID to 0, to achieve the same effect.

Incidentally. For some reason. Replacing the outdated MML in the scenario, with a newer version using the Editor. Destroys the multi player aspect of the mission. The fix for this would be to place your own multiplayer drop points using the Editor.

Seriously. Go into the Editor off the main screen and load Gale Crater. All scenarios made for Gale Crater will show regardless of being single or multi player. This one will show as -

CUSTOM: Manned SP - OpenWorld Survival.

Which begs the question.... If it doesn't show.... how do you select it to load into editor?

There is, or was, no Start Unit for single player. I had to enable one to get it to show.

Load it into the Editor, make a new scenario using another name, enable the chap in the large landing module as a Start Unit and save the new copy. It should show up in Scenarios at the top under "My Scenarios"

Take on Mars changed the Editor or the wat for the scenarios want so it does`t load. When you want to Play this start the Dev mode got to MP und there you can start the scenarion and when you are land press strg+altGr+F then you in free fly und with press space you can edit the scenario.

Moin moin. Hab mir das Scenario aboniert, aber es taucht absolut nirgendwo in TKOM auf. Kann mir jemand sagen, was ich falsch mache? Es ist nicht in den Scenarios und auch nicht als Server im Multiplayer zu finden

I just went into the editor and started a new scenario on Victoria. Yes the disc does exist and it can be used. Now I just need it in this scenario to build up a base faster

The 3d printer doesn't have a blueprint to print out other 3d printers. I checked all of the supply drops but there isn't a blueprint disc anywhere. Can you include one so I can build a shelter quicker? (I have never been in the scenario editor, so I don't know if this is possible).

Crouching will help with the elevator bug. That is an issue in the base game.

Well I checked my controls and everything seems in order. Pressing F does move the camera slightly but does not switch me to internal view. I managed to see inside the lander by clipping the camera through the wall and there appears to be no astronaut inside, so now i am wondering if i even spawned in correctly?

Thanks for your reply! :) I will double check my controls, maybe i changed something somewhere. I know it is a problem my end not your scenario as i have the exact same issue with your other scenario and one of Meko Vans survival maps.

Pressing F should work..maybe you have different settings :/ But I am not sure because I haven`t played the game for a while.

I'm sure i am making a horrific newbie mistake, but how do I start playing as the astronaut? I start as a free flying camera as the lander descends and no way of selecting the astronaut. I have tried F but i remain in camera mode. Thank you.

For anyone with the elevator issue, just quickly strafe back and forth as the door closes and it starts to go down. I can't say it will definately work, but it does for me.
