8 is the guy Kurt, in the Large Landing Module, on line 20. I suppose you could instead, change Kurt's ID to 0, to achieve the same effect.
Incidentally. For some reason. Replacing the outdated MML in the scenario, with a newer version using the Editor. Destroys the multi player aspect of the mission. The fix for this would be to place your own multiplayer drop points using the Editor.

Load it into the Editor, make a new scenario using another name, enable the chap in the large landing module as a Start Unit and save the new copy. It should show up in Scenarios at the top under "My Scenarios"
