Yea, I was honestly about to put "The Ability to Read" vehicle in the required items.
Olie 12
Honestly those 'known issues' are just common sense stuff lmao. I hate that its needed to write that out in the description because some people lack that kind of sense. :/
Thanks! I'm glad you like it! And yes, it will be the same brand/style.
It will be same brand? I'm hyped. Awesome work
Thanks! I am working on a support ship, that'll be releasing in a couple of weeks. It currently has a crane, deployable rhib, the same radar, sonar, lidar suite, and a ~50 knot top speed. I'll be adding a lot more too.
Boxcar Willie 12
Well nameless this creation looks like it has been created by a person with the same nerdiness as mine trully awesome if you plan on making an aircraft or a steam locomktive hit me up and i will help you explaining the systems those vehicles have

Yet another bug.
The Nameless 12
Yeah. It's temporary and proportional to the size of the tank (and I'm not sure it happens with block tanks; it may be strictly a dynamic tank phenomenon) so you'll hardly notice it on smaller builds, but when you get up there in size, it can get pretty dominant. It hardly has any impact on a tank <10kl, it's noticeable on a 30kl tank but you'll get past it pretty quickly. But my Troll has a 400k tank. I can run it for hours and it won't get past that, partly because despite being able to drive the thing at 50 knots, similar builds suggest it should only be drinking a liter of fuel every 3-4 seconds. (It uses a diesel-steam generator and electric drive.)
Yea the space update really changed a lot of stuff. Had the same thing before where an engine basically doesn't drain any fuel/adds more fuel to the tank.
The Nameless 12
Haha yup. I wish I could show you what I did to the old Troll III tanker. But the creator has vanished and I can't reach them for permission. I refitted the thing as a general purpose hospital/rescue/fishing ship, but left a lot of the original tankage as its fuel. It again has a huge panel of dials, throttle levers and buttons on the back of the bridge to manage the engine, but it has a range of... well, actually I don't know. It has a long-lasting pressure glitch from the fluid mechanics. It would eventually go back to normal and start using up fuel, but that takes way longer than I have the patience for, and for some reason it literally puts more fuel into my base than it takes out every time I bring it back.
Thanks! It really just takes time to improve. Studying other people's creations teaches you a lot too.
The Nameless 12
That is, assuming it still even works. Haven't tested the uploaded version in ages. :P
The Nameless 12
Na, you did more than i ever could. I only ever published like one thing because I don't have the patience for hull shapes, so all I can manage to do is convert other people's work. And while your high level of automation was too much for me, I can't stand to automate ANYTHING. So I wreck autopilots and build huge banks of controls on the back of everything so you can (and pretty much have to) micromanage the steam engine. If you ever try my steampunk version of But Hull's super-helicopter, I'm sure you'll be even more frustrated. lol
My self-esteem is ruined now.
It does push you out because pressure, you have to jump in the seat in the docking room, then close the bottom hatch. Sorry it's frustrating, I agree that getting in sucks.
The Nameless 12
Ok, I got the bottom hatch opened and entered that way... and it shoved me out again. Seemed like a pressure issue? I couldn't get in and stay in, and just when I thought I had it and managed to push the button to shut the hatch... I got shoved right back out as the hatch closed behind me.

I'm calling it quits. This is a very appealing-looking creation and I can see you put a lot of love into it, but when I have this much trouble just getting in and haven't even tried to start it up yet, well... that's a bad omen. :P Best of luck to you.
💀 Second time this has happened. Should all work now
That's really weird, it worked perfectly before. Fixing it now.
Inside there should be a button labeled "Close Top Hatch" (Between the two seats)
The Nameless 12
I see. Um, I spawned it with the tracks... and they fell into the ocean separately. They didn't do that before, so I think you might want to test it after your latest update...
There should be another button to right (or left) of the "Open Top Hatch" button labeled "Open Botton Hatch". For the top hatch closing, it will try to close the hatch to not let water it (It breaks the moonpool if any water gats into the room)
The Nameless 12
Ok, thanks... this is not going well. I spawned it without the tracks, and it opened and let me in. Then the top hatch kept opening and closing, letting in more water, and I couldn't figure out a way to stop it from inside!
I updated it this morning, the tracks should have a gap to let you in the bottom. If not you might have to un-subscribe then re-subscribe to update it.
The Nameless 12
Aaaaand, when I click 'open top hatch', it does nothing for a few moments. Then it opens the hatch and immediately closes it again before I can fall through, maybe sensing that it's underwater? I can't use it at all with the tracks attached.
The Nameless 12
In addition to being underwater, the bottom hatch is blocked by the tracks...
Unfortunately, I don't think the stairs are movable in any base. For open the bottom hatch it uses door frames and for some reason it is impossible for it to flood (The water only comes up to the door frame level), when you get in there is a key button right above the docking door that will pump out any water that gets in.
The Nameless 12
The bottom hatch is *also* underwater. :P I know that because fluid mechanics are borked it won't actually sink, but it still *feels* like it should sink if I try that. Still, I guess it's the only option. Unless... I think I remember seeing stairs somewhere around the hangar (I'm using the multiplayer air/sea base) and I wonder if I can move them...
@The Nameless XD You can actually spawn the sub in the water and get in by the bottom hatch, to open it you just need to click the "Open Bottom Hatch" button and it will open. Also, it's impossible to get inside the sub while it's on land with the track attachments, you'll have to make some kind stair to get in.

@TuxedoLad1209 Thanks! don't want to promise anything, but I am planning on making an underwater base (Like the K1 Underwater Base by Carbon) sometime in the future.
Fire! You should make a sub base for the sub base island!
The Nameless 12
No worries. I tried spawning it with the track attachment, only to discover that while it technically floats (and it did, eventually, get right-side up as it happens), the hatch is now underwater. So I tried spawning it on land, only to discover that I can't get on top of it to access the hatch. And I have to go to bed, then go to work tomorrow, so tomorrow evening I'll either figure out how to get into it with the tracks attached, or give up and use it without them. xD
Good idea, but there is approximately zero space left 💀. Fitting a 1x2 microcontroller in there without filling the fuels tank or ballast is a fight for your life, I'm pushing it now even. I'll try later, but like I said in an earlier comment I'm working on a support ship now, so it might be a little bit.
The Nameless 12
So yeah, I can see that you can't really stop it from flipping in bad weather. One thing that might be more doable is, if you could find a place to add down-thrust vertical props on the top to match the ones on the bottom, then they could be used to flip it back over (by activating one side on the top and the other side on the bottom) after it has capsized. This isn't exactly going to let anyone stay in control under max wind and waves, but it'll let us recover after the weather if we're patient enough to wait it out. Or get back on track if we do something silly like spawn it in a modded workbench and watch it plummet 50 meters and head straight to the bottom, only to bob back up on its back. >.<

Look completely down in the seat there should be a locking button labeled "Overdrive" on your right.
Nvm I had the drive thing on and how do you toggle over drive?
Any idea why the pitch randomly locks and wont unlock even if i click 4? depth hold is not on
If you click "Disable Docking Mags" on the left consol it will kind-of detach the attachments. Good idea about switching attachments, I'll update/ add a vehicle for that. Currently working on a support ship though, so it might be a little bit.
Is there a way to detach any attachments so you could swap them in the water? and if not could you maybe add a button for it in the future I feel like that would be a cool addition/
Thanks!
wow very cool
@wsclarke09 It's supposed to spawn with 1 bar of pressure, I don't really see a need to drop the pressure lower, the pumps are strong enough to fill/drain the ballast. For filling the ballast, I recommend diving deep underwater; the outside pressure will speed up the filling process.
@Cool Brough, for the propellers look for a button labeled "Azimuth Drive" on the right consol. For using the weapons you have to enable them by clicking the "Use Hardpoint" on the left consol, all attachments are enabled by that button. For firing the weapon just click spacebar.
great sub one problem i spawn in with 1 bar of preasure in the ballest tank
Cool Brough 12
and how do you use weapons?
Cool Brough 12
how do you go foward in water using proppelers not water jet??
