The no spread mod that depends on this mod conflicts with the weapon script. However, you can use a different weapon script if you prefer. This is why I split these mods.

Does this still conflict with weapon scripts? I remember using it with the AA-12 SG552 replacer and it just reconverted it to a SG552.

Works wonderfully with my own weapon_data I made, really good visual feedback with actual kick that messes up your shooting when spraying. Good ass mod, it enhances weapon_data configs to make them feel even more satisfying imo.

You can look at the "RecoilFactor" method I used to reduce recoil in my ads mod , I believe it won't has high ping issue.

there's a m_iPing netprop in the terror_player_manager entity.
you can access it via NetProps.GetPropIntArray and with the player's entity index as the array index
s omething like this:
NetProps.GetPropIntArray( Entities.FindByClassname(null, "terror_player_manager"), "m_iPing", player.GetEntityIndex() );

you could outright disable it when it reaches a certain threshold, or somehow influence the values of the recoil while taking the ping into account. do with it what you will

This is a video game, and every item should hold meaning and affect the gameplay. Which again, is the entire point of my mod. I think you mistook z gun kick for aiming to be realistic or something, it's arcade balance and a form of upgrades.

In reality, laser sights do not reduce a firearm's recoil. Laser sights are there only to identify the point of impact.

you could improve this by toying around with lasers and make them reduce the recoil, you'd have to increase the base recoil to balance it out, but at this point why not just use z gun kick or something, so idk what to suggest

Played around with it a bit, since you tagged me with it. There is barely any recoil, you don't have to aim or do anything. Lasers don't reduce whatever small amount of recoil there is to begin with, which was the entire point of my mod. My mod forces trigger discipline, you're meant to crouch and take short bursts, or look for lasers if you want to spray fire blindly. Not sure what the idea with this was or how it's meant to be an improvement over z gun kick, it's kind of just aimless.

Keep up the great work. L4D2 has had weird recoil system that always drag crosshair to the center after each shot. Finally can enjoy shooting now:steamhappy: Cheers!

Yeah no, this doesn't fix the issue Yoru's mod had, high ping players cannot look around while shooting.

Does this still have the bug for high ping players where their crosshair can't move while shooting? If so then it's probably impossible to fix, but this is already a big improvement over the original.
