It is not my mod tho, i just really like to play with it and as the awakend machines, but those automated/awakend worlds dont seam to get the extra building slots

@Arty Aeterna HI, could you please provide a link for your mod? Since this mod many be downloaded by many players, I think make compatibility for other mods with popularity at the same tier is a reasonable criteria.

is there a chance that this (and the double row version) will be made compatibly with the "machine awakend" origin from "machines and robots expansion"? or do i have to ask the other mod maker for compatiblity?

@holden duo to the technique limitation, currently slots number cannot be changed after game started, thus I have provide so much sub-mods in order to satisfy different situations. A workaround may be providing some popular combinations (e.g. 24 city slots + 4 zone + 6 slots per zone) as a single mod, while the amount of combination is too large and I cannot provide all of them.

You may just try to edit this mod yourself according to the instruction inside the mod folder and thus only one mod is need.

Love this mod but I did want to bring an issue to your attention: currently there is an issue with stelllaris where more mods causes worse performance even if they're empty, sheer volume seems to be a bigger issue than the content of the mod and this one requires about 5 for its full function. I wanted to ask if there's a chance you'll consider making condensed versions for people that play the game more heavily modded!!

What mods exactly do I need to make it work? I want more Zones and Buildings Slots but there are so many informations on your mods and im not the strongest in englisch hahaha

@marcusdabell hi, the modification for city slot is quite simple that you may just rewrite one number. You may reference the help documentation in this mod for more information.

I'd like to point out an incompatibility.

Ethics and Civics classic is preventing the available secondary zones sub mods from working. The sub mods for primary zone slots all work, so do the secondary zone slots. But not the amount of secondary zones. I'm stuck with the vanilla 2.
Any chance of a patch?

hi @sakura should city slot mods folder have just scripted variables folder or should it have Defines and scripted variables like your other zone mods

I've done some testing with my list since I was having issues with the additional zones not appearing, it seems to come down to an incompatibility between this mod and Bug Branch... is there a chance of any future integration/ patch for this?

@marcusdabell Hi, Currently City slots and Secondary zone slots count are modified by different mods and it seems works on my game, could you please share your mod list and screenshot in order to locate the problem?

hi @sakura tell people secondary zone slot mod needs changing to what you want your city slot mod needs to be as something is mixed up between the 2 so it won't go over what ever the secondary zones of a city is ie 4 5 6 8 9 10 12 unless you change it in folder as i did myself by setting it to 96 or you won't get 96 city slot mod to work

guys change zone 6 slot mod to 96 in the folder and your city slots will increase to 96 city slot mod seems to not increase it for some reason found this out through trial and error. i am using double zone version not single

With some recent UI adjustments, the main city district view should now support mouse wheel scrolling.

I am not exactly too sure what I'm doing wrong or maybe I am just misunderstanding something.

As is with alot of people on here, I've used BPV before.

Now I'm doing a test empire to double check that I've gotten a stable enough mod list to play with.

I'm using City Slot 96, City Zone 10, and Zone 12.

Somehow, they're not fully showing up. In terms of City Slots, it is only showing 12. In terms of City Zones, only 2 specialisations are showing up. The Zone 12 shows up properly.

My Mod order goes:

BPVR- More Building Slots
BPVR- Zone Double Row Mode
BPVR- City 96 Slots
BPVR- City 10 Zones
BPVR- Zone 12 Slots
BPVR- Compatibility Patch

I'm really not too sure why the City Slots and City Zones are not showing up. Or maybe I'm just misunderstanding something.

Any help would be appreciated!

@mpames Currently you have use your mouse to drag the scrollbar in order to scroll the city view.

So is there a solution to the scrolling problem within the interface? Right now using the mousewheel to scroll doesn't work, is there some keyboard shortcut or other alternative?

@Tia For now, I think the options left for us are 24 city building slots with 2 specialized zones (12 slots for each) or 4 specialized zones (6 slots for each). Avoid using the scrolling bar.

@Seanツ Thank you for your feedback. Technically there's no difficult to change all of them to more slots, what I'm mainly considering is whether the change is reasonable.I think it should be changed if there are indeed many player want to do so.

@Sakura The Attraction Districs from Resort worlds are special zones that arent available as City sections. they're specifically for the former resource districts, and you can specialize them like the resource districts, so you can have a museum zone, a zoo zone, and a few others depending on your ethics if im correct. these zones only have 1 building slot, but some have multiple buildings tied to them (The Memory Hall has access to museums from the curator enclave). Im just asking if it would be possible that you can have the multiple building slots. Thanks for replying

Yeah, thats the thing. In 4.0, that part of the window had scrolling behaviour defined in the .gui. In 4.1 it's no longer there. Even though the tags for scrolling are still included in BPVR (and others), it's being ignored or something.

@Tia Idk whether it is a hard-coded issue caused by the 4.1 update or not. But in 4.0 with BPV, the scrolling function worked well.

@Seanツ Hi, currently this mod only change the bullding slot amount for zones which have 3 slots. Zones with no or only one slot are keep unchanged. Could you provide more information about this zones so that I can understand them better and decide if they should be changed?

Hey just fyi, Resort worlds special zones (the ones that replace the resource zones) still only have 1 building slot, are you planning on patching that? thanks.

I was playing around with that mouse scroll wheel issue too, and I don't think it's fixable in a mod, as that window subtype properties seems to be hard coded into the game. Unless one was to put all that info into a different window type and shrink the existing one to a zero (since the game crashes if it's not there...), but a lot of that info may not be accessable to it that way. Seems like it might require a PDX fix.

re: Compatibility patch... should that go at the top of the modlist or the bottom? I know it's a pita trying to figure out how the game loads and prioritizes things because it's different for every data type...

This seems to make all secondary zones default to having six building slots, like the primary city zone, instead of having three. Is it supposed to work that way?

Hey @Sakura, is it require anything? because, when I scroll on generator, mining and alricutural district it able to scoll up and down also able to choose which scpecialize, but on city district scroll up and down is unable instead of that it zoom in and out, also choose zone specialize also unable.
Is there anyone else have the problem like me?

I am new to modding but after reading the Stellaris wiki modding guide, this seemed like a place to start to help BPVR work with Gigastructural Engineering.

@udkudk -- here's a temporary fix if your only mod conflict is Gigastructural Engineering.

Open descriptor.mod in the BPVR folder with a text editor like Notepad and replace what is there with this:

Keep the load order simple, just Gigas, UIOD, and the BPVR mods you have been using. It worked for me, but it is not as good as a real compatibility mod. Just maybe good enough for now.

"Many zones in the base game have fixed slot numbers." Does this mean we can't say, start with 8 building slots for cities then have a tech to boost these later, say for example, +1 mid game, and +1 Late game?

That happens to me as well. However, If I wait for my first 3 specialisation to finish, others start to be able to be selected one by one as you build them. So no problem for me.
