@s_m_w - Yeah, it would be really helpful if the base game would just implement it (for compatibility etc. alone). Sorry, I hadn't looked at the messages in a while. I have no problem with you taking it over from here (especially with keeping Animal Equipment running aswell)

@Dylan: Hey there! I mostly started this version since I feared you wouldn't update yours, and sadly found no way to contact you to ask. Glad you gave it another update. As long as either (or both!) of us maintain a framework for animal equipment, which rimworld sorely lacks, I'll be happy.

I wish I had seen this before updating AG to 1.6 ^^ nice work, I think I will still post my AG 1.6 update, but put a link to your mods as the recommended version from now on.

(that 1.6 force wear really makes things easier with the animals / more immersive ^^)

Currently equipped animal armor does not count when 'Count Equipped' is used in production bills.

I'm upgrading a mod to 1.6, and swapping to this mod from the previous Animal Gear mod. I followed all your steps above, and when I do that; the apparel simply doesn't exist anywhere in the game. It just disappears. There's no indication as to why, no errors, etc. Are you squashing errors that would otherwise be useful for us to track this type of issue? Any advice is appreciated.

I FIGURED IT OUT

Yayo's Combat 3 mod for some reason is incompatible with this mod. It causes all ranged weapon description card ui to go blank and spam errors.

Apparently this mod makes animals use the "Anything" apparel policy. Which makes me unable to delete that policy in place of the things I usually set up. Since there is no way to re-assign animal policies in this manner, I am now stuck with it. Can this be resolved?

I have had trouble reproducing the problem still, but a log with your modlist definitely helps! I am currently looking into ways to avoid compatibility issues better in the future

So I'm still having the issue of my weapon info being blank when I click on them inside the research tree with Animal Apparel enabled, but I can't seem to pinpoint the mod issue/conflict.

It seems to work with just Animal Apparel, Yayo's, and Eccentric Tech Foxy's Armory enabled (since that's one of the weapon mods I've been using and the one I've been using as a benchmark for this particular issue).

So I went ahead and went into my main mod list and got the log from there.

I only wanted this for shield belts on my small animal, it doesn't seem to be active when drafted even though the shield charges up. Is it just visual and I got really unlucky with shots chances?

It worked for me with the ammo option. Try to get a log file with the error and just these two mods enabled and post it here or in Yayo page or Mile's discord.

Also make sure to update both mods first by resubscribing, Steam is spotty with updating mods.

Sorry but In yayocombat3, there’s an ammunition mod option. I enabled it, and the same bug still occurs.

@s_m_w I have also run into a logspam issue with this mod and isolated it to be between this mod and Yayo Combat and posted my logs in Mile's discord so it may be relevant to you.

This mod is not compatible with the Packs Are Not Belts mod. I tried to equip Rim with a jetpack and shield belt, but they won't equip.

This is just speculation, but maybe the issue could be related to YayoCombat3? I remember adding it to my playthrough once it updated to 1.6 and from there on I have been getting errors with it regarding reloading jobs, despite the pawns reloading without any issues. Visual exception always says it is Modular weapons 2 and YayoCombat3 are the cause of this Reload exception error in my logs, but I looked at the defs of Animal Apparel Framework yesterday and the jobgiver def look like the ones in the error logs I am getting. I am not good at coding so I dunno for sure. But it is a possibility....

It is litterally just Animal Armor Framework and VE-Framework. Just tested without Betterinforcards and the Bug is still present with every ranged weapon. :(

OK, I'll look into it! Animal Armor Framework does indeed patch the info cards, which are tricky to patch while ensuring compatibility with other mods

Wait what? I didn't know there were no mod options yet. XD. Ok then whatever about that problem. I noticed that there are errors regarding info cards, I already reported the issue to Infinite Reinforce. I also noticed that this only seems to affects Ranged weapons. When I try to view any ranged weapons information the infocard doesn't show anything except itself. This seems to be also the case with the Equipment Reinforcer like I explained before. I am guessing a nw Update of VE-Framework is causing this.

The mod options of animal armor framework has no options yet, it is a bit of a placeholder. I'll look into the other potential incompatibilities

Anyone else having problems with Menues with this mod enabled? I am getting some errors with this and Infinite Reinforce when I try to upgrade ANY ranged weapon in the Equipment Reinforcer from the mod. The Menu is also broken allowing me to not upgrade Ranged Weapons. Weirdly enough Melee Weapons can be "reinforced" normal without a broken Ui menu. Also The Mod Options menu of animal armor framework seems to be broken, I can't config anything there. Any ideas how to fix that?

I finds out it only happens when the ammo system of yayo is on,so maybe a ammo problem or something.

running into a very interesting issue, where Animal Apparel: Basic Armor is working as intended, but I can't equip shield belts to my (not-modded) dogs - I'm told they're missing the body parts for it.

Also got the issue with Yayo, it basically spam the error log the more animal on the map there is.

But loading Yayo before or after your framework did not fix it.

not sure how to see which other mods require this one, does anyone know if theres a mod that gives your animals an apparel policy for your colonists to auto equip animals with gear, im all ways forgetting to replace decayed shield belts on my animals

Make sure Vanilla Combat Reloaded is before Animal Apparel: Framework in your load order and it'll work. I'll enforce the ordering in the next update

Gave that mopd a quick glance. There's some implementation details (i.e. this framework allows animals to use actual apparel, that mod there simulates apparel it looks like), but ignoring those, if you use this framework with Basic Armors, you get some actual armor graphics for (some) animals. This framework also lets them use shield belts and jump packs.

That author seems to not update his mod in short term. And last time after he said thing like that he just abandoned the mod. By the way i am talking about draftable animal
