If you are worried about crashes, you could run the --autosave launch command. It will save your game every turn so you wouldn't lose much progress on a crash.

I suspect it might have to do with the wandering command, and the AI of the event patrols being unable to process what happens.

Yes, I have noticed it can crash sometimes. I haven't been able to pin down the issue.

I really want to play this mod but it just keeps crashing on me :(
Only have this and the base isekai mod active, all game files are verified and functional.
Always happens randomly as a new round is about to start, so i'm guessing something like a world event.

Is there a trigger for when the invasions are supposed to start? Because in one campaign the Duke showed up to rock my shit on like turn 30 and now I'm on roughly turn 70 and nothing's happened so far. The 2nd campaign was an allied one, so is that why he's not appearing?

In my playthroughs, the evil outsider seems to love crushing me(or random AIs) by doomping big hot loads of armies on top of important fortified locations. However, one playthrough the evil outsider himself was stationary and just fucking around in some random pirate port(probably having fun with his harem) and never moved from that location, while in another he got himself an army and went on a directionless rampage around Elysium while spawning portals randomly. It's kinda hard to beat him though as i am yet to acquire my own vampire lolis and the duke uprising didn't happen yet so i didn't get reinforcements or rewards from that.

So, in the game which was glitched and had this mod active despite not being enabled...

I had beaten the Duke. Was fighting the Evil Outsider. Had him beaten down to one portal after having to hunt down all his portals. My Enchanter that was given to me for beating the Duke was on a stone tower in transit to another location. The Outsider spawned a new portal smack dab on top of that tower, easily overwhelming the moderate defenses I had there and killing my Enchanter. Very sad and very annoying, but not the end of the world since by that point, my economy was very strong, so the Enchanter was just there to supplement it. But yeah, maybe try to change that so it can't spawn on players' (or AI's) locations? If that's possible?

You may have gotten unlucky yes. Don't worry, you'll get more reinforcements and as long as you play the Outsider properly (making gates, scaling up) you can absolutely beat the Duke.

Of course you can get the Marchioness in the original mod. You just need a castle to summon her at.

I dunno if I just got extremely unlucky, but I had the Pretender Duke spawn on me in Spring of Year 2. Is that intentional? Because I only managed to stop the initial Duke's army with the Marchioness's spawned army, and it decimated her forces. If one of his sons comes out with a similarly strong force... Well, suffice it to say, I'll be getting wiped.

Side note, is it possible to get the Marchioness in the original mod?

Or change it so they are revived at the red portal/home similar to the regular vampires or liches, if posible.

I'm not sure witch magic lore, that the outsider faction has access to, has curs of the frog princess or something similar and the spell has to go past magic resistance.

The vampire brides of the evil outsider are immortal and respawn even after I conquered and destroid the red Portal and the evil outsider.
Is ther ea way to get rid of them for good ?

So the mod has been broken for quite a while apparently, I'll be uploading a fix soonish. I forgot to add the 'Inexperienced Outsider' as the trigger that kicks off the man vs wild event chains, so this mod would de facto never activate.

I'm afraid it's just luck, if I made the events guaranteed to happen it would be torture once I add more. Turn 50 is pretty sad considering a 5% chance to spawn

Is there anything I can do to make invasion/rebellion more likely? Played a couple games to turn 50, but I have not seen anything but the world engine that attacks you when you promote to ascended outsider

Would be interested in lategame events using masses of vanilla units, rather than modded ones. Maybe after you have achieved godhood, it could unlock new extraplanar storylines to start showing up, such as an angelic purge trying to cleanse you from elysium or perhaps the denizens of the nexus could notice the disturbance and begin massing invasion forces of all four elements.

Yeah, he's crazy strong. I've only been able to beat him with the Godform outsider. I don't want to take them out but I might make them spawn in a lot later.

I love this mod.... But isn't that World engine that spawns more guys a bit too hard? I have a decent army going, and every time I try to fight that one, I get completely destroyed, and it gets harder and harder each time. Maybe I'm just lame/dumb though. :P

Yeah, I wish I could balance the spawns based on map size. The chances are somewhat low for each spawn (around 10%) but there are many of them. I will see about cutting them by half

How are the spawn events for enemy armies determined? They seem to happen very frequently (up to twice a turn) when the enemy spawns and much more rarely after that, though this may just be my mind playing tricks on me. On that note how is it decided when the enemy army spawns? Ive seen some fairly large variation here.

I would like to ask that you somewhat nerf their sheer rate of production, at least on smaller maps where your economy is inherently slower, seeing him pop out 5 near invincible armies in as many turns is rather disheartening. If there was one unit to nerf I would say the galeshot ballista spawns in such numbers that it makes sieges all but impossible without your own siege units. This is including the fact that such an army will probably be spawinng every other turn.

Added some positive events, good idea Mak0_Hunter! Right now only the Duke and the Evil Outsider have rewards, but more will come as I come up with other stories. I hope you have a fun experience! Also added some coop potential.

As for new units, I'd like to keep any new additions to the main mod so people can play as much content as possible without dealing with any lag. Custom events may have improved a lot but they still make multiplayer laggy.

I understand. I will definitely think about positive events as well, my first focus was on giving the Outsider mod a purpose beyond fighting the other overpowered mods that exist in the workshop, since there wasn't anything that could challenge it in vanilla.

Outside of those I admit I am very interested in some new PvE content, but I may wait a bit for some other stuff to get added before giving this a go.

I admit despite my play time I am not really that good of a player XD

While I do like the idea with this add on, it seems like for now it is focused on mid to late game as well as being mostly hostile events. I will keep an eye on it but I may pass on this as it is for now.

Any plans for some neutral or positive events? perhaps even some event exclusive units, characters, or items? One idea I was thinking of was there being some unique versions of the many races of Elysium only being available by some events or conquering certain things.

Just a few examples. (I admit these may fit the main mod better.

A dyriad princess or centaur princess that gives a unique units inspired by the dryaid queen.

A bokomono war maiden that could give some access to some sort of yari or nagenata unit (Japansese orc spears)

just a few spit balls for some of the world's inhabitants to get involved with the outsider.

I think for version 0.2 I'll make all boss kills drop a gold reward, beyond the event that gives you a big heap for clearing the whole event.
