I wanted to ask just in case, is my request in-development? I am assuming you are working on it but I felt unsure, I hope this doesn't bother you.
I have tried these "press key to escape pin" mods before, they have a lot of issues that comes with them (both gameplay and technical) that is why I resorted to using a convar. It makes Hunters and Jockeys much smoother and polished to fight, their pinning gimmick is full of bugs that normally went unnoticed during normal gameplay, but I have them spawning by the dozens and it became noticeable very quickly.
Very simple! Are you familiar with the convar "survivor_no_pounce_or_hang"? It prevents Hunters and Jockeys from pouncing and riding survivors. But it makes Smokers do nothing, and Chargers aren't affected.
I wish for a mod that prevents Hunters and Jockeys from pinning survivors like the convar does.
For Smokers, I want survivors to be automatically freed when they enter the being-choked state (indicated by the red light and dramatic music).
As for Chargers, when they charge someone and stops/hit an obstacle, instead of pummeling them they just let go and flee like smokers do.

Would you mind merging 2 addons with the addition of a QoL fix for me?
I am unsure whether or not the 2 would allow their codes to be re-used but I think it might be better to ask. You could also remake it yourself, since with your own code it should be easier to implement the fix.
Geebanger0's "Infinite use defibs" and Withgreen1's "Realistic Defibrillator Low Health Revive" as one addon but using the defib won't make the user unhold the defib their holding.
I have a few more ideas but I'll start with one at a time, unless you want the entire list you can ask!

Sorry to say this but after some time I realized my idea is a poor attempt at a fix for a grievance of mine. You can still finish the idea yourself if you think is fun! I just want to say that I changed my mind and I no longer want it.

No, they are not similar. RF's fix is to prevent SI from scratching or punching during a staggered state.
My idea is to prevent them from attacking instantly when out of player's line of sight. This is my proposed "fix" for the infamous silent SI issue I have with the game.
Whenever a Special Infected performs an "attack" on a player, that "attack" is put on hold for 5 seconds before actually initiating, the "attack" covers melee scratching or punching, and special abilities like pouncing, charging, tongue shooting, rock throwing, etc.
These 5 seconds of discipline gets completely nullified the moment a player sees them (survivor bots and spectators does not count), think of it like a temporary reverse weeping angel.
This does not affect the Witch.

I don't mind either method, although I do wish the critical damage multiplier to be configurable if you're making a new mod.

Unfortunately they lack the settings I seek. I intentionally avoid addons that gives a universal buff towards all enemy types, I much prefer your settings for Stumble Shot since it allows me to buff certain weapons without affecting SI.
I would love to see Weapon Damage Boost updated with the same settings as Stumble Shot.
However, that mod works on all weapons without specific settings if I'm not mistaken.
As for awp & scout, there's my mod named "CS Sniper Special Buffs" that gives extra damage when using awp & scout. There's also my "Weapon Damage Boost", but this is not critical mode as it basically adds more damage to each weapon based on the cfg file.
The idea is simple, it allows you to deal double damage to a zombie when shot, with all the configurable features of Stumble Shot. Could be called "Critical Shot"
An example, setting the value of the AWP to "100" would guarantee 230 damage to any allowed enemy types. This would mean the AWP could do over 50 damage to commons (if allowed) on Expert Realism. Also good for giving certain weapons new niches in general.

Played through Death Toll on multiplayer (local server), addon "works" in a weird way, weapons with the stumble value set to either "25" or "50" works fine. But weapons set to "100" works on completely random intervals, one second I can stumble 3 commons then it stops working, after a while it works again but only for a second or two.
I assumed "100" is bugged so I tested the value "99" but still can't stumble. I did all the test on singleplayer fyi.
Tested the Uzi set to "100" with extra effect set to "2", can't stumble CI and didn't see any small fire. As far as I know the addon doesn't work even when the game is reopened with everything disabled. I am just confused at this point, any other suggestions?
As for CI not stumbling even when the effect showed up, that's really strange. Did you also test it on smgs? If smgs work but others don't, then probably I'll need to check the scripts because probably there's something wrong. But if smgs also don't work on your tests, then probably some mod conflicts may cause it.
As for the vslib thing, I opened it and found mentions of L4D2 survivor names with "BOT" written below them, and a steam id named "Jackson". The file gets updated whenever I close L4D2, should I delete it?
Ran another test this time with extra effects set to "3", using an awp set to "100" with CI on "1". CI still cannot be staggered but the sparks do come out. Weird.
As for "_vslib_global_cache.tbl", I have no idea about that, but if I'm not mistaken, that file is also a config file, so it should be able to be opened with Notepad++.
Deleted my config file and got a new one from this update, this time I've set all SI and CI stumble value to "1", also set the tactical shotgun and military sniper stumble value to "100"
Ran a test on c4m5 on Expert Realism, does not work on CI.
Ran a test on c1m2 on Expert Last Man on Earth, tactical shotgun works on all SI.
Ran another test on c4m5 on Expert Realism but with CI stumble value set to "100", military sniper and tactical shotgun still can't stumble CI.
The most perplexing part is that it worked on CI completely fine before, after I installed addons that changes melee range and audio files for Dark Carnival concert finale it stops working, disabling only those and then all addons doesn't work either, I am curious as to what may have caused it.
Maybe unrelated, but do you know what "_vslib_global_cache.tbl" does? Does it have anything to with my issue?
I have set the user value to "3", the common stumble value to "1" and all weapons used are set to "100".
I verified the integrity of my game files and reopened the game.
I reinstalled the addon and set the values back and reopened the game.
I disabled all workshop addons except for stumble shot and reopened the game.
I disabled all workshop addons and took out all my vpk addons and reopened the game.
I tested on c4m5 and c8m1 with all the above criteria and none of them worked.
Are there any suggestions as to what I could be doing instead?
Addon isn't working anymore, is there a fix?
