I found the error in the game's admin menu, under "Global Permissions." The shooting and damage buttons were disabled.

I'm just assuming someone forgot to turn them back on after completing the scenario. They absolutely have to be enabled, otherwise you can't do anything against NPCs like Reavers.

I'm having the problem that my weapons don't do any damage, and NPC weapons don't seem to do any damage either.

I've also loaded WeaponCore... even though it's not impossible, I can't imagine it causing any problems. I also play on a server that uses WeaponCore, and there are no issues there. My other SP save games with WeaponCore don't cause any problems either.

I've already checked my logs and the game settings, but I can't find any errors.

Hello, i was wondering about the safe zone "glitch" but i seems to not be the only one ^^
I don't know if it was intentional but there is a glitch out trade station (only the safe zone is there, no station in sight) 10-20 km out of the first waypoint in my save so i thought it might have been some scenario shenanigans before coming here for hints to disable the safe zone ^^

Gonna keep an eye out for the fix, this scenario looks promising :)

Sadly those errors are issues within the mods themselves. I am unable to fix those. The original authors of those mods would have to. But i do know those errors do not cause the mods to stop working.

As for the shooting and safe zone issue, i will look and see if i can see the issue with that. was not an issue for me and a few others as of the last update so i will try to mimic it and get a fix for it :)

still can't shoot and it says you can't shoot in a safe zone without being in a safe zone
and the game detects multiple errors with mods
errors list
MOD_ERROR: Unknown mod (1 error Eat. Drink. Sleep. Repeat!)
MOD_ERROR: Dynamic Laser Compression Modular Thrusters (1 error)
MOD_ERROR: Nitrus (3 errors)
MOD_ERROR: Energy Shields (2 errors)

Yep, it worked! Wish SE would let you actually change the settings. Also, yeah I definitely like the jump drive thing, now I want to like build "modules" for the ship (a hydro powered "landing" one and a jump drive)!

The starter ship is like that by default yes. Just to encourage some exploration and being able to upgrade it as you see fit. so have fun with it :)

As for the progression being turned on, you should be able to go into [Load Game -> Your Save -> advanced -> tick progression off]. That should do it. Of that does not work let me know :)

also pet peeve of mine, progression seems to be on by default, how do I turn that off? When I go to customize it the buttons are greyed out

Not sure if it's just me, but the starter ship can only jump ~1400km, am I supposed to upgrade it? Cause that's a LOT of jumps to the first location.

@Roy thank you for the feedback! I'll be sure to take a look into these. Not sure why theres a safe zone around the first location, as i dont think i set one up 🤔 at least didnt mean to. I will also look into the other issue you mentioned as those should be easy fixes.

Pretty fun scenario. A little feedback (truncated):
1. The starter breadcrumb (last known location) has an administrative safe zone but nothing in it. The whole area is empty. Just an empty administrative safe zone and nothing else. Found the next breadcrumb by sheer dumb luck while mining/scouting.
2. Shooting and damage is turned off in world settings but are on in the pregame menu. Have to set them via administrator settings while in the world to turn them on again when starting the scenario.
3. There is a death block at the base of the first stair in the very last location. Death listed as "industrial death" and is caused by walking down the stairs. There might be a clearance issue with a ceiling block in that hallway.

Keep making good scenarios!

I don't really see an issue with it honestly. was just curious lol Like i said before, everyone is able to play as they wish. The way i set it up and play it may not be exactly how someone does. As long as the story is good for everyone, I'll be happy :)

Nah JTurp kept the scan radius small for function and performance, it's kinda like the Radar mod passive function with visual representation, so the direct radar in limited to 5km and I think the navmap limits to 10km. It does not feel terribly overpowered though you can build jump points to all planets if that is a concern.

I understand, it's definitely not a scenario for everyone. But having that story in the background while you do your own builds and exploring is what it's about. A clear end goal with no direct path to it :)

It will get better once I get the voice lines in (which will be soon) and those can help give a little better clues. (Can't promise they will be any good as far as voice acting though 😆 )

Can say I haven't used that one before. Depending on how well the MES Mod comes out, that might be useful for finding some of the stuff 🤔 can't say it'll be required to find them, more like extra lore if anything. But can be helpful if it doesn't search planet size radius for stuff 😆

I made the system bigger to give players more to explore and so more NPC spawns can happen.

Goal being you play like you normally would, just with a story mission in the background or as your end goal.

Better radar would always be nice though lol

I get it. I tried to put the waypoints close to the planet/moon that you are supposed to search around on. Didn't want to explicitly hold a players hand either though. I can definitely look into moving them closer in the update.

There will also be voice lines to help kind of steer you in the right direction as well.

Beautiful Scenario... I supposed a trigger problem. Very long trip to first way point: no clue. at destination: no clue. Discover two secret base in asteroid: no clue. Spying 6 or 7 Listening post: no clue and lost good relationship with TRADE faction !!! And Poof , all listening posts and the
station (protected by a energy field, Vanished....

Don't tell me to walk all nearby planets to find a significant structure !!! I had to cheat (teleport) to find the nearest POI and the first pad.. I HATE to cheat ...: That destroy an accomplishment feeling...

Cycled the grids with admin console. You put a lot of great work in already, really liking your scenario.
GPS marker is about 150km from a planet and an ice moon, with another planet a bit off.
A bit more hints in-game would be perfect.

@PeacefulRiot Those are meant to give you the planet the next location is on. I would search that one and see if there is anything to find. ;)

of course i will be adding voice messages later when i get them done to help out a bit, but it is supposed to be more exploring than "here is where to go" types

Arrived at the "Last known location" from the pad aaannnd - nothing happens. Is it a glitch ?
Am pretty much stuck now.
