the effect itself might be laggy. the previous lag problem came from the fact how blind items were detected. the function used for that lags a lot, and it was running every frame on every pedestal, which has been fixed to only happen once - so it might lag spike when entering a room with a lot of items.
if you use REPENTOGON, the mod detects that and uses an improved, lag free function for that that's provided by it instead. but again, the effect itself might be laggy, in that case lower the amount of fireworks that spawn with the config.
thought I might be wrong again and there's something wrong with the mod that isn't those 2 things
this should've been fixed long ago. maybe the mod isn't up to date for you? try reinstalling/resubbing to it and verifying game file integrity (right click on Isaac -> properties -> installed files -> verify integrity of game files)
1. I don't see how my mod would cause that
2. I tested and both mods work together like normal
try reinstalling or disabling some mods, I don't know
Nothing shows warns or errors in the log files of the game so it's a bit curious.
the mod supports rep and rep+
i have a 12yo laptop, i don't use it anymore, but it runs well enough to not be stopped by a few floaty pixels. If anyone is running an uber-potato these days then they need to figure out how to acquire $30 because that's how much it costs to be able to run games like this
\
from my testing it only lags when there are a LOT of items on screen. it's probably just a matter of hardware. anyway, you can try the "Only one firework" mode
also, side note, if it's not obvious, I'm using the fireworks that spawn for filling up the greed machine (and also 4th of July daily run I'm pretty sure). it's a vanilla effect. so if it's unoptimized, I can't do anything about it
try this: go to Isaac on Steam, right click, click Properties, click Installed Files and click Verify integrity of game files
