For some reason I stopped getting schematics for gunnery school, no clue as to why.

Anyone encountered this?
Anyway to fix?

@Dunestyler: There is a mod that does exactly that, should work for most factions and special mechanics. It has some weird chinese name but seemed to work fine.

Yeah I was trying to apply the mechanics to one of the other empire factions on confederation.
I failed with that, even though it was no problem to apply the effect bundles of the faction traits after confederation.

There's an issue where only specific factions give schematics when fought in battle, as well as the inventory of amethyst units disappearing after a turn if they aren't recruited.

quick question is there any chance that this could be done for other factions? Like Grimgor getting Grom and Gorbad's mechanics or Kislev getting ostankya's? Simply asking because I am unsure if there are already mods for it.

@Wikitiki31 You should also be able to get a passive gain from building Gunnery Buildings. The other part is script based from the original but seemed to work fine for me at least.

@Kitty Tinkles yeah schematics are supposed to build up either when you fight a faction that uses gunpowder OR when you get kills with your own gunpowder units, however it doesn’t seem like that second part is working in this mod. I have a feeling it’s because of the overlaps in schematics and magic books and the game doesn’t like dealing with both of these resources at the same time, but I hope that it’s fixable. Otherwise I might just learn how to use the console and spawn myself a bunch of schematics

When used together, none of the tier 1 gunnery school objectives show when you mouse over them nor can they be completed and you can't advance up the tiers as a result. Not a complaint, just informing people who might have the same issue.

Hey hey my game somehow crashes as soon as i lvl my gunnery school to lvl 2 and reopen it have any idea why?

Still the same issue til now. How can I get schematics aside from fighting factions that use gun powder? Other than that, there's no way to get schematics just like how Elspeth gets it in her campaign.

I play with Sigmar's Heirs and have no problems, if you mean the progress upgrades of gunnery school, it works fine, the problem is you have to own Nuln and build the respective buildings there(for specificaly named buildings). F.e. if it wants you to build Wissenland stables(or whatever it is named for Nuln), you can only build that in Nuln province, not Altdorf or anywhere else.

I just started a new campaign with a bunch of mods, including SFO, but not Sigmar's Heirs. Looks fine, but I only looked at the interface and recruited a wizard yet.

@Canny-P Yeah that's a good point. After doing a full campaign it's tough to tell. I was able to gain schematics from battle, I'm just saying you stopped being able to gain schematics after defeating an army and choosing what to do with the captured enemies

Just tested it and it seems to still work. It works on the Old World Map by Chaosrobie too.

are you sure you are fighting enemies that uses guns? the gain schematic post-battle is only available for enemies with guns like dwarves, ogres, empire, etc.

The gain schematics from killing captives seems to only work for the Empire Rebels as it doesn't show you getting schematics later on for killing captives from other armies which is a pity

the problem i have rn is
1. The schematic icons (top uı) does not show
2. i cant get them from land battles, tho i can get them from settlement battles

Thanks for the mod, the UI bug was annoying tho xd

Had to change the twui files just to fix it but it will probably cause compat issues if I play with more mods, so far none tho :P

@masterquintus Schematics are kinda tricky, last time I checked they seemed to work fine most of the time but they are using a script, not sure if I can do much about it sadly.

Seems like this mod is working for people up til recently. Unfortunately, Its crashing for me now. Crash Report says:

The First invalid database record is diplomacy_FactionGroup_DE_DreadlordFemale_Faction_ClarKarond_&_
OtherFactionEmpireACTOR in table
campaign_group_member_criteria_factions_table
and pack file obo_emp_features.pack.

I was running a lot of other mods but it crashes with just this and the base mod as well so I'm sure what change to cause this crash.

Never seen that happen so far, guess the update must have changed something but haven't played WH3 in a while. As long as you get a few wizards for free it's not to bad I guess^^

Anyone else getting a pile of wizards spawning for you on turn 2 instead of just 1? I mean, its nice so im not complaining too much. But still weird that free wizard event popped 4 times.

Question:

I'm pretty sure it was due to this mod, though I'd need to re-check. The Carroburg Greatswords elector count state troops got replaced with a cavalry unit called "The order of the High Helms".

Is this a bug, or an issue with another mod?

for anyone with secrets of the amethyst order and this you can use rpfm to get them working together pretty easily by going into the script for gunnery school change the faction key at the top from wh_main_emp_wissenland to wh_main_emp_empire then do the same in script data at the bottom

Any faction that has access to guns should provide them. Ogres and Skaven are excellent for farming, especially razing their cities.

It would be great to add the Volkmar the Grim mechanic. Then the set would be complete.

Yeah I'm getting some weird incompatibility with Sigmar's Heirs. That is not the responsibility of any mod author to fix, just though you might wanna know.
Only other complaint is that the gardens teleport teleports Franz instead of Elspeth once I confederated her. Not sure if there's much that can be done, as I'm sure the code references "faction leader" and assumes that'd be Elspeth.
