@Kirgiz That mission is hard to finish it in single player because it needs coordination between your team to be able to enjoy completely the run. Bots tend to either avoid some enemies or waste ton of ammo.

Like in a real urban warfare, you should not miss any house because some left enemy can destroy your squad. Most of my testing runs I have done in single player and I have been able to finish it with success in almost all cases, for sure with losses within my squad.

As I mentioned in my previous post, there are not tons of enemies in game. First city and the suburbs may hold around 10 to 13 guys in each. Clean first the suburbs, when you done the objective will ask you to clean the rest of the city and kill the officer; do not fear of use grenades and blind fire through the corners, as in an urban warfare. Second city may hold 5 or 6 guys, just when you finish the enemy will prepare a counterattack with 1 squad + 1 BTR.

I played very carefully and took care of everyone. The trigger that the city was taken triggered after killing an officer, so I decided everything was clear and started preparing for the second city. I handed out trophy body armor to everyone and picked up a few RPG7s. When I moved on to the second objective, there were still fighters in the city and they unexpectedly killed everyone, as I didn't expect the city to be full of hidden enemies after completing the objective. I'm playing single-player and should add Team Switch...

@Kirgiz I am sad you didn't like, it is totally legit. That missions have not been made for casual play and intended to be played coop with other human players, tactical and planning your moves. It is not at all an impossible mission. I have done, solo, tons of runs during all the testing period.

1-If you play tactically, almost all enemies can be tracked and easily eliminated. There are no more than 10 or 11 single soldiers in each 'area'.

2-There is only 1 heavy machine gun, with more aesthetically purpose than combat. It can be easily tracked and skipped or flanked.

3-There is only 1 armor vehicle (BTR) in the last part of the mission. But it is 1 BTR inside urban area, it is extremely easy to avoid, flank and blow up with a simple RPG.

Are you completely sane?
There are no saves in single-player, no Team Switch, no support, and allied bots can't hit enemies. There are millions of enemies with infantry fighting vehicles and heavy machine guns. How can you play this?
Play this stupid pain in the ass yourself.
The only good thing is that you let me play as the Reds, who actually destroyed ISIS in Syria, but that's an impossible mission...

@komodo That first mission is based on some syrian army operations in the Idlib province during the early days of the war. The army in that time was overwhelmed because the huge amount of fronts and the desertion of many ranks. The rebels (FSA, Al-Nusr...) got almost the full control of that region; same like it happened with Aleppo or Homs.

As for Al-Nusr, I have used them because the mod by itself does not add a Free Syrian Army faction. In any case it does not clash or create incoherences, because many operations were driven by both factions; even many time the same ranks were under both flags.

I was checking the CUP base mods (CORE/MAPS/WEAPONS/UNITS/VEHICLES) but sadly I have not been able to find the factions that I need for that series of missions about Syrian War. The only thing I try in my missions is to use as less dependencies as posible. For me, as a player aswell, is really annoying when you need to download a dozen of mods + their dependencies to play a mission.

also i had no issues with the Syria/Iraq mod, ran fine, kinna wish it gets updated tho but CUP recently had an update and I think you can pretty much recreate any faction with it so its worth giving it a look if u wanna base a scenario on CUP

Also curious, which exact battle is this based on, I know Nusra at its closest was pushing Damascus from the South and overrun an airfield there. Syria was/is a hairy conflict few ppl ever bother with unfortunately

@Sling Blade Thank you for your message. Actually I am using that mod because there is no more updated mods about this conflict. At least that easily can include the bunch of factions that I plan to use in future missions of this campaign (SAA, YPG, Peshmerga,ISIS...).

As for 'horribly' broken: to be honest I am not sure what do you mean. This mod uses, as main dependencies, the RHS mods (vehicles, weapons, items... are from RHS). Iraqi-Syrian Conflict is just a reskin mod.

@komodo Thanks a lot for your feedback. You are right. I will check deeply about that. I remember that in vanilla version it is posible to give the 'rearm' order to the AI into ammo crates. I am going to see if that way can fix the problem in the next update.

As for the faction name. Sadly Iraqi-Syrian Conflict mod does not include Free Syrian Army (FSA) as a faction. I did not want to add dozens of dependencies, something really annoying for a player. In real life FSA and Al-Nusr in many cases mimetized between them; insurgents from one group were also fighting sometimes in the other... for that reason it was acceptable for me to add them. I can rework in the next update each enemy AI inventory to add close costumes to FSA for some units.

fun mission, finally a Syria scenario

Feedback:
-In SP saving was disabled
-I think giving some AI units more ammo is a bit difficult to manage AI's inventory when they run out
-If you want to force players to co-ordinate which i think was your original vision, i would suggest create 2 versions of this mission, one SP-centric where AI have all the ammo they need and the other COOP
