Probably a mod you have added that modifies stuffproperties, but at least its fixed for you now, now i just would move the mod with the change to the rimworld local mods, to prevent the change being removed when steam does its things

There you go, I see in your case concrete is listed as a possible material but in my case it is not.

Cuz what my patch does is:
add the concrete to any building that can be made of stone

@NuanKi, welcome back, I can't make heavy reinforced walls with concrete slabs. I could before because I modified the xml file as described below to make concrete slabs metallic. I restored it and now concrete slabs is no longer offered as a material for heavy reinforced walls: https://i.imgur.com/PwUkQm1.png

As you can see other materials are present from different mods, but not concrete slabs

Can you think of a reason why concrete slabs do not figure in the list?

NuanKi: I understand, I actually used concrete slabs for some modded turrets in 1.5 😅
I guess another way would be to ask the author of Reinforced Walls to accept concrete along with metallic. I hoped I could do that with some rough xml tinkering just like I did for this mod, but I can't seem to find the appropriate place. At any rate, no hurry, even though my solution is not ideal, it satisfies my immediate needs, at this point I am happy to wait for a better solution.

That works, but what it does is it makes the concrete metallic, so it could be used to make turrets of concrete, with ultra high HP
What would have to be done is a patch like the ones I have for VFE
I haven't had time to update several mods this week because of work, but they'll probably all be updated tomorrow.

Hello NuanKi, I managed to have Concrete Slabs appear as a valid material for Reinforced Walls. What I did was modifying the file Items_Resource_concrete.xml and add Metallic as a category under ThingDef > stuffProps > categories. It seems to work fine, my pawns have built a few walls and they look OK. It's the first time ever I try any kind of modding so I might have involuntarily skipped steps or did something unorthodox, still, it seems to work and I thought I'd let you know. So I have been using this mod along with Reinforced Walls - https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3215305656 - for quite some time. Up until 1.5 I was able to create the other mod's heavy reinforced walls/embrasures using this mod's concrete slabs, which allowed for extremely high HP walls/embrasures. With 1.6 I don't seem to be able to use concrete slabs as a material anymore. I can see other materials, even those provided by different, other mods, but no longer concrete slabs. Is this new behaviour expected, and in case it's not, can it be corrected? Thank you for your attention.

I seem to have found a small glitch, but it is hard to call it one because there is no error message at all. It seems that when building Embrasures out of Steel, all pawns can pass through/jump over the structure as if it was just a simple barricade. My colony was almost wiped out by a tribal rush just walking through the wall of my kill-box. I used Impassable Furniture Mod to manually set the Embrasure as impassable, trying to work around the issue, but all pawns try to path through the embrasure and get stuck. Using Developer Mode I rebuilt the Embrasures in different materials and suddenly the issue was gone. Seems building out of Steel causes something weird.

I'm at work right now, and I don't know how they implement the broken walls.
But as you can see in the image, it is a simple wall with 70% fill that is impassable

I guess, that would require drawing new variants of broken walls, too many mods out there – that guys said he won't do it. However, dynamically changing walls is a too cool idea not to have it.

If there is any bug it is probably that they do not have an animation of the "Concrete" material being destroyed, which they can fix there easily over there by patching the "concrete" material to give the animations of others material like "Stony" or "metallic".

I'm not sure why they said that, both mods do totally different things, this mod adds a new material and a new wall (embrasures), while the other mod adds animations
