Ah, that'd probably be it then. I have noticed that, while the core biomes themselves aren't searchable, they do appear on the list of biomes when a planet is found via other criteria.

@AgentKirin But have you noticed that Obsidian, Magmastone, Blaststone, and even FU's core biomes are absent from PS?

I feel these issues are probably inherent to how core biomes are formatted differently from other biomes in terrestrial worlds.

They do have friendlynames, and I did not add anything to hide them.

If someone else wants to make their own mod that fixes these issues, and allows the Armol Biomes to be detectable, then they have my blessing to post it.

But I am afraid biome detection is outside of my realm of expertise.

That being said, it looks like if you don't give the biome a display name or straight-up tell PS to ignore it, it'll show up, but under its internal name. Could that be why I can't find it?

The same can also be said for MPI. Someone else is gonna have to make the patch, cause I don't know the first thing about how that kind of stuff works.

You'd probably have to ask the people behind Planet Search about including core biomes.

Can you make the core village detectable via Planet Search? It's a pain to find.

You'll need to try another planet.

And if you don't find anything different in that planet's core within the first 10 minutes, move onto the next planet.

If you have frackin universe installed, the GPS can be used to quickly tell you, if an Armol biome is on the planet.

How rare are the villages?, I've found several merchants and altars, a couple of spawns of that damn bat but I haven't seen a single village near the core layer.

There is a chance that a planet will have an "Armol Village" biome in the core layer.

If you're finding Armol in rusty metal structures, you're in the Core Mines Biome, which only has Hostiles.

The Core Village Biome is identified by it's ash piles, normal colored Magma Rock, trees, and inhabited obsidian structures. It only has friendly Armol.

Are all armol supposed to be hostile if you're not armol? Or have I just never found an armol village.

Yes. I'd recommend doing quests from Armol tenants though, because Armol from the core biomes tend to ask you to do missions that require you to visit the surface.

Beware entering core mines!

Some Armol bandits can be armed with weapons crafted from the Armol Altar.

This was made to add a little more chaos to that biome.

@Oмεяυıп I imagine the Armol as sort of a challenge species.

*Above the surface, they suffer stat penalties, beneath the ground they receive greater stat bonuses... something like that.

*They also do well in hot environments like the core biome.

*Their diet consists of meat, mushrooms, and glitch-related food items(It's the reason for their metal-like bones).

*They have poor vision, and rely on their tendril noses to detect the environment around them.

Overall, they are a species well suited for underground mining.

I don't know how feasible most of these are, but you are free interpret them in anyway that works best with the mod.

Found the conflicting mod, its Pets: Galactic Shops Addon. I'll make a patch for my friend so they can use both mods, then upload it to steam for anyone else who needs it.

Just a heads up, was trying to help someone figure out a crash. It looks like this mod and another mod both add a monster called armadillopet. Just wanted to give you a heads up. I"m still trying to figure out what the other mod that adds it is.

The goal of this mod was to add a species of Mole People that wouldn't feel too out of place in Starbound, while at the same time adding content to biomes that I feel are often under-utilized.

I hope I was successful in that regard.

When I booted this up and saw the ship, o m gdness! My jaw dropped. and the armadillo pet brought a smile to my face :)
Plus this is going to keep reminding me of the underminer from the incredibles haha xD

Config paths were already fixed in the latest update, along with the previously mentioned cultist.
So npcs shouldn't be randomly dying anymore.

Another dialogue thing for the cultist config patch.
Cultists should be similar to the other related converses in that the Armol portion should be in the path, not in the value.

Starforge just does that. More specifically it can spawn mini dungeons on forest planets. And lush planets have forest sub-biomes. Any chance that you didn't encounter them pre-Armol installation was likely just a coincidence.

this mod seems to be from my testing causing Starforge hostile dungeons to spawn on Lush planets making it hard for new players to progress due to their inherent difficulty... this needs to be fixed. until then the Armol are extinct in my universe... this is likely due to a side effect of the core biome changes...

For the apex rebels patch, the path should just be "/scriptConfig/dialog/converse/apex/armol" with the value being only their dialogue.

It looks like you just forgot an } for the crewmember config patch, causing it to break entirely. So wasn't a penguin mercenary issue.

I've been encountering that bug too with the penguin mercenaries. Whenever I go up to talk to them, they die instantly.

I've encountered a bug that when I try to talk to apex at the Apex Rebel Camp they will immediately die.

Just dropping in to give an update. I found one of the two biomes on a Frackin Universe planet and ran into zero issues. If I find the other one on another Frackin Universe Planet I'll drop in. So far it's looking like this mod is safe to use with Frackin Universe.

Looks interesting. The game really does need more stuff to make digging into the ground worth while, and exciting.
