@skoomamaster69 thats because the rat mod also has a levels.txt file for some reason. Delete the levels.txt file in the rat mod foulder to make the Hc+ mod work with it

if u use this with nazrin rat mod game will break at lvl 5 lol. great mod tho

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed this mod. It killed us time and time again, but each time we learned and gradually made more progress each run....I had gnomephobia for a bit when we started out tho, goodness that level- but hey I can handle it mostly consistently now. Cheers.

Anyway we finally won recently, so I just wanted to say I recommend this to anyone looking for a way to really challenge their Barony skills and knowledge! (final part of the game was peak, had my heart going.)

steamapps/workshop/content/371970 and find that id of the foulder, open it and copy and paste the files + replace in your copy of Barony.After that read the other install instructions

@The Flight logs The guy is actually a ghoul named Cursed Corpse.His gimmick is that he becomes intangible, preventing directi damage but also making him rooted in place as long as you are looking with clear eyes at him. Best way to defeat him is to throw something at him and then quickly turn around, or use a blindfold, maybe use traps or followers.

how do you kill the skeleton boss that goes invisible in the sand area?

i cant find main file

turned it off and removed those files by hand before the full wipe attempt

Check Step 0 from the instructions again, it could be an issue with savefile syncing.

i feel dumb but no matter what i do i cant get it to install any time it launches it crashes ive removed my entire game file and put this in any tips?

Your hands are growing from the wrong place, and it would be better if you never entered the workshop with such slag. Hardcore is not impossible levels, but difficult ones, I am writing just in case you suddenly did not know.

Merchant lounge is accesed by being a merchant and finding the secret pedestal in minetown to put the purple orb in. Other way is being ninja or tinkerman and breaking the wall there then getting behind bars

Thr weakened debuff is caused by the vampire summoners, they are the ones followed by skeleton squads

How do we supposed to counter weakened debuff on citadel? Who casts this? It so op that our party just got one-shotted, it doesnt seem fair, even the toughest ones died instantly

question. is ther a way into the merchant's lounge in the hidden town thats the second secret lvl of the mines?

Removing the mechanic isn't possible per se but you can always just edit your savefile with any text editor and manipulate the "gametimer" value. Just set it to 0.

If your level has already loaded without a secret level entrance, use the "jumplevel -1" cheat to reset the level after changing your gametimer.

I like the progression and overall changes the mod brings, is there a way to edit the files to remove the time limit that forces you to go fast or lose secret levels? I'm just trying to chill and I like to be thorough, and still want to do the secrets

HC+ is still based on an older Barony version (before assist shrine). Adding new base Barony features to the existing build is prone to errors; taking the new Barony version and adding all HC+ content is time-consuming so I try to only do it for really large content updates. The next will probably be DLC 3!

Hi proximity chat does not work with the mod, will it ever be added in the future?

That's not a bug, the Accursed buffs are based on hunger level - or substitutes (Skeleton HP, Insectoid EN etc.). For every race that has regular hunger mechanics, your hunger is great enough for buffs when the game starts. If you drink 1 vial of blood, your buffs disappear, for example. The other races technically don't count as "hungry" when you start so they don't spawn with buffs.

Starting a game with the Accursed class with the Skeleton, Insectoid, or Automaton races doesn't have as much Str and Dex as with the other races.

The ghoul in the sand area is deadly but can be countered as long as you keep looking at him.He is unable to be damaged but also move while you maintain line of sight with him.If you wanna hurt him throw or shot something at him and quickly turn around so the shot connects.

The Joker has the special ability of randomizing stat growths every time they level up.You can improve the chances of getting better rolls by leveling up a stat naturally

for som reason when i lvl up i instaly all my stats get boosted to end game i was playing goblin jester

If your game is freezing on startup, it's probably an issue with the mod trying to sync bad savefiles. Make sure your savegame folder is empty and, to make sure, cloud sync is deactivated for Barony in Steam.

needs to be better optimized for memory upon startup 32gb wasn't enough.

good observation, it's a bug. basically, the active shield AC bonus was nerfed from vanilla - but only for shields, not for torches/shards. will be fixed!

Why does blocking with a 1AC shield give 1 less AC than blocking with a +0 torch?

The chronomancers appeared only on the 1st level of the ruins,either I got supper unlucky and the other enemies took their spot or something goofed up

Are the special mummy ghouls in the new update supposed to have the no model texture as torso?Also you can cheese them hard by looking on the side,thats enough to hit them

Some of the stuff in the mod I can see added to base game but some other definitely nope,it conflicts with the casual feel of the game

I guess a way to make them work on a controler is to use some program or something to bind keys to controller parts and use the expert profile for controllers,but other than this idea there is no way currently for my sadness

is there a way to use the new controls like swim dip and continuing casting on a controller or a bind for it?

I finally got 3.0 to work thanks to my friend being more attentive than me.

Save Games are stored in the "savegame" folder, obvious.

Scores are NOT stored in the "scores" folder. They in the main folder (not a nested one) as "scores.dat" "scores_multiplayer.dat". So ya I deleted those files in addition to savegames and turned off Steam Cloud for good measure and it's great!

hey, came back to say it was indeed the steam cloud messing up with the mod, it's fixed now.

@J3susvidaloc4 I got it working by making a copy of Barony,then deleting the scores and savegames and after that placing the Hc+ on top of that

sorry to bother, but i have deleted the savegames and scores contents on the game Directory but it stills crashes my game and Pc.
i did a clean dowload of the game, deleted everything just like i did on the other version, but just this one freezes my pc. is there other files i need to delete that aren't on the game directory?

You need to delete score files and save files, they are not compatible anymore and will cause freezing/crashing.

If you already did that, I suspect disabling save game cloud sync for Barony in the Steam library could help.

Nice update, but for some reason, i can't open the game in this version, was playing fine on the last one, but now, i open the game and it's start loading PC freezes completely and needs restart.

If you are playing on NODRM (due to playing via Epic) there is unfortunately no solution, mods + DLC are not supported on Epic.

what do i do about it not resgistering dlc

You can use the merchant to get some high tier gear for the money you obtained in gnomish.You can also rob the place if you are good enough of a gamer or have a friend.
