mkay, i agree with you two, thanks for the feedback. im not sure how to actually make a faction, but i can try. im a bit careful with this, cause badly written factions can cause bugged quests o.O
but the research should have its own tab, is it not working? i´ll add some recipes soonish

Pretty cool new update, the new xenotype has a icon problem surrounding its overlay is this green texture, not sure if its intentional but it does stand out,

I really appreciate the weapons being more rare due to their unique build nature.

Been having a compatibility issue with the likes of https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2945753581 (mechanitor balance tweaks)

Where the resources from this mod will not drop from mechanoids which puts a stop to my ability to use this mod's resources, I would appreciate it a lot if there was another way to acquire this mods resources or a patchOp for to work with that mod and prolly a few others which wont drop the unique resources from GR.

Lastly on the new xenotype, maybe it could become a new faction which combines the mechanoids and the psycho pawns? it would be pretty interesting to have these psycho's and corpse 'noids have their own unique faction, good ol' days of rimsenal feral.

ahem. update^^ as you can see in the patchlog(im sure everyone totally looks at that lol)- weapons are much more rare on spawning, using tags to make them spawn on the right factions too, some bionics are visible now, and theres a "psycho" xenotype to recruit or to raid you, and it´ll be like you killed john wicks dog. i´ll rework their textures somewhat, later on, and this mod might go through some more updates in the near future. feedback appreciated!

you mean the game crashes when loading a save thats expecting this mod? uh, try removing any content of it from your map, and use mid save saver. ofc i know people dont expect to rescue saves with removed mods, but maybe it works? you´ll probably have to manually remove some quests..

This is just a heads up: this Mod is NOT safe to remove from saved games. It will not only break saved games, it will cause "Rimworld" itself to crash if you try to load it. (This is not a bad thing on the developer's side; some Mods are easier to remove than others, so please do not take this as criticism.)

I have an additional request if possible

can the grimdark weapons and drugs be locked to the player faction only?

or moved to factions where they make more sense, such as pirates?
seeing imperials spawning with these looks so bad, if not possible in the mod, is there a way I can remove them from spawning in the shattered empire on my own?

Is there a chance to make patches for mechanite plague, mechanoid recon hive and a few others? when I dissassemble their husks none of the GR components drop.

@Sean I agree it would be great. If you go through the files you will actualy note that there is a patch for "alpha mechs" and "VFE Mechanoids". The issue is that they don't work correctly. in the case of the alpha mechs patch it fails completely, and for VFE-Mechanoids it only works on some mechs. Why? I have no idea :S. It seems to work for some VFE mechanoids, I used the exact same method for alpha mechs, but for them it doesn't work. I don't know how to remedy it.

Would it be possible to add compatibility to Alpha Mechs' mechanoids? As it is only vanilla mechs yield the special stuff this mod adds, it's not game breaking but it would be cool

@Sean almost all craftable resources from this mod are made at the welding bench. And you need to research Smack to be able to make prepared corpses.

Hey, added this to my Warhammer campaign (these make great servitors) and because I already have a lot of stuff unlocked I can't find where to make the prepared corpses. I assume it's an early game bench I'm missing, rght?

@turtleshroom the generators pollute the area around them instead of producing waste bags, you need to clean it yourself, which produces waste bags. this actually goes pretty well with vanilla recycling expanded, i recommend the pollution pumps to automatically clean those areas

This is really interesting. Might I suggest that you add support for the Vanilla Factions Expanded Recycling Mod? I think some of this stuff should generate, for instance, bags of Trash as a means of balance.

@Zink glad you like it. It was designed with VFE Tribals in mind, the slow research progression pairs well with this mod's content. And yes, should be compatible with any xeno-race. I assume you asked that, thinking of the cyborg animats, so yes, you can turn any xeno into a mechanoid cyborg for the mechanitor. Do keep in mind that cyborg animats are unlocked in undistrial tech level.

OOOh.. I really love that. I love to start as Tribals anyway and it was always so weird to get hand on the first firearms... btw does it work with other Xeno Races?

yeah, that adaptation refusal looks cool, its pretty much what i had in mind^^ but then we combined it with mechanoid dissassembling, chainsaws, drugs and necro cyborgs

@atlas you might like mechanoid forge, but all of that is far out of scope, and we didnt want to add anything nano like. what is a godstick? near immortal pawns? cmon, not in this mod

Oh I love this, I love this so much it's AWESOME, it reminds me of the early days of rimword and a old mod called Adaptation Refusal! I gotta see if it still works and pair it with this one, thank you mod authors for this absolute gem, enjoy the mad science award y'all truly deserved it!

(Also funni idea, but why not create something like a Nanotech mod? Say a nanite implant that boosts different things that can be upgraded and can make you special weaponry and/or armor? Also maybe throw in the Biotech Tomfoolery with different compatibility genes with some of the more advanced/experimental implants? [Think like your other Biological Bionic mod, following the same logic as each differing type has a chance to fail the link but the highest ones need specialized genes to use to their full ability. Also different types kinda like the other mod but each type can be leveled up by the person to add a bit more of a push to keep pawns with the lower tier ones] Feel free to use the idea, I just enjoy seeing y'alls work.

@CrackaJack we need the random chance to find the god stick implant. Allow it to basically make someone nigh immortal but low chance to find and only one in the whole game that you can find.
