I am wondering the dead planets that's in RE2, have you ever thought about having a mission on them to start to rebuild the dead planet. Is that even possible because i bet a ton of players would love that idea

Has nothing to do with the scenario. That would be a game issue. Also the first I've heard of it.
Like mentioned, you can report this on GitHub that way if anyone else has the same issue they can look it up there.

As for how long it'll take RE2 to be finished, probably another 5 years. RE1 was never finished and I worked on that for about 5 years.

@ treker_ed @ Captain Spaulding I didn`t delete the save files manually, but ingame. The fact that it is even possible for an entire save game to be destroyed like this is enough for a warning. The mod author could`ve written a warning by himself in the mod description that something like this MAY happen, but he didn`t. And that`s not a little bug, it`s something essential so that I think it´s absolutely fair to warn people and to recommend to wait until the mod is finished. Or to keep playing Reforged Eden 1.

@drachenstreiter That doesnt sound so much like an unstable mod issue that sounds more like a base game saving issue. What I do is when I start a game Ill start the game, get landed, then log out. Then in the saved games window I will make a copy of that save. I will play on the top one always and keep the second one as a backup. If I finish a playthrough for the day successfully without any glitches etc, I will save the game, delete the copy of the one I started with earlier in the day, and copy the new save. Thats not saying there arent glitches because there are and they arent necessarily this or other mods. The vanilla game has its own issues. But I dont think its fair to tell everyone not to play this game until its done. Its probably going to take some time to finish this mod per the developers and theres no way to play test and let them know of issues if no one is playing. Its probably easier to post a discussion if youre having issues to let the group help sort it out.

Strongly disagree. I have thousands of hours in EGS, vanilla, RE1 and RE2. In all those hours I have not had any corrupted saves from having deleted older saves. The only way you could have corrupted your ongoing save, is by not using the in game save delete and deleting the files manually . It's rather disingenuous to turn round and tell people not to install RE2 based on your sole experience. If you genuinely have such an issue, report it using the link to the GitHub on the front page and the RE2 dev will have a look at the report and deal with it accordingly.

Hello everyone,

I STRONGLY recommend that anyone reading this DO NOT start this mod, but wait until it's finished (and hopefully never being replaced by a Reforged Eden 3).

The reason is this: I downloaded the mod on Friday and played the included scenario for a long time, up to a certain point. A little while ago, I deleted some older backup saves. However, when I loaded my current save, I discovered, much to my annoyance, that it was corrupted and contained the state of the save I had just deleted. This means I'm way back in the story. My second save was also corrupted, unfortunately setting me back even further.

As things stand, I would have to restart the game completely.

I also noticed a few other bugs during the game, such as the mention of spiders in the dialogue with Ida, which I never actually encountered.

All of this leads me to conclude that this mod is very unstable and still in an unfinished state (for a beta). Please wait until its completely finished.

or you could just take 2 of the corner parts off one of the 2 block wide sides, so then it still has the 2 and we can put them 6 blocks long (for lifting HV's onto a CV etc)

Ya, if it was on one side like the frameless 1x1x4 it would be good. Then we could put them together atleast 2 wide and then as long you want. If it was on the 2 block width side then we could put them long side together for a width size of 6 blocks. Thanks for responding!

i cant seem to get my shelids to charge to 100% ive put in plenty of pentaxid and ive seen stuff about rechargers but cant seem to find them in even the cheat cheat menu am i misssing something?

No, there's a technical limit to how many POIs a playfield can spawn on MP without crashing the playfield server. Plus every POI increases save size.

I removed block limit from config as you recomended me long ago and it works fine. Also i
added/increased structure spawn on planets but it's back to normal any time there's an update :steamsad: (its pain in the ass to add every singe poi by hand XD) is there maaaaybe any way to basically make planets more "populated" cuz raiding pois is peak gameplay

Yes. Reducing recoil is good. Reducing reload speed is bad.
On the weapon modding window good things are colored Green and Bad things are colored Red.

Reload Speed -15% means it takes 15% longer than the default reload time. (e.g. a 2-second reload becomes 2.3 seconds)
Reload Speed +15% means it takes 15% less time than the default reload time (1.7s)
If you have both on the same weapon, they cancel each other out.
If you have two mods that affect the same stat, they are added together (e.g. +10% reload speed and +15% reload speed will add +25% reload speed together).

weapons upgrade

reload speed -20% damage -20% (think it was)

is that 20 faster reload and 20% less damage ?

beacuse there is an upgrade for heavy weapons that is +20% reload speed
does that mean the only purpose of this upgrade is to slow you down?

if not and its the other way around why does the first one exist?

Hello,
I'd like to know what the problem is with the presence sensors and the teleporter. When I program one with the other, they don't stay connected! I've played for 2,500 hours and this is a recent problem. Is it possible to recode it correctly?

Anyone is free to create a server, so you could start one.

Reforged Eden 2 will probably be in development for another 5 years or so, assuming we're still working on it that long.

And for translations, Ashenator's answer pretty much hit it on the head. We're not really able to add in much localization at this point.

Portable Constructor - is a Vanilla issue.

I just reinstalled EGS after cleaning.

- deleted all leftover files (after a backup)
- cleaned the registry, used all Win11 tools for HealthCheck, Deep Clean Up, etc.

Installed and started EGS (without restoring backups)
Started Vanilla EGS, uncontrolled startup:
Can't pick up Portable Constructor.
I also can't directly transfer items from Portable Constructor to my inventory.
