what are you talking about. They're not perfect but that's what you get. They're accurate enough with what we have. we don't have access to valve's internal files, we have a couple of them from a couple leaks from an earlier build. What else do you want?
Yes, some are lighter, some are darker. The facemaps are recreations styled to that of the retail game using the HQ leaked facemaps, which were raw scans of people's faces. So they're slightly different.

I think this happens with any texture mod that changes the textures that the uncompressed textures setting effects.
Mainly humans though. Citizens and main characters, especially head textures have been upgrades twice the size, quad the size. Notably grigori's head is the most HQ for some reason.
