are you running Optimal Storage? older mod versions could end up in such droprates

Ive been finding a fair few storage pods in my save file and NONE have been dropping anything. Most people everywhere speculate that its caused by a storage buffing mod. So perhaps something to look into?

i just tested it again (i tested yesterday as well, ofc) and it works flawless for me - maybe your mod hasnt updated - just unsubscribe and resubscribe - that should force an update

It seems that the AP Ammo wasn't affected by the update. I also booted up a creative game to see if it was just bugging with that save in particular but it still won't store up to 10x.

I get the 5% and 10% are to fix the 10x drop bug. but PlayerStorageDestroyed and PlayerStorageSalvaged are not in the base file. so what are they overriding?
I noticed this when trying to change the mod to a 5x buff instead.

Would it be possible to reduce the amount of supplies that pirate bases spawn with? Taking over a single base after disabling their command centers/engine cores typically results in enough supplies to build a battle ship/destroyer and completely negates early mining/refinment.

This mod, as far as I can tell, works with the Meltdown Update. No reason it shouldn't since the update doesn't do anything to materials. I loaded it up, and it works.

The initial quantity of ten per stack was woefully inadequate, prompting me to abandon the rocket. It truly should have been an intriguing device.

Sorry to tell ya, but something critically broke with your update. Its very presence in the modlist (active or not) causes errors when even opening the modlist (your mod wont appear either) and causes the game to crash on loading a save.
i just had to troubleshoot mine and the only thing that worked was purging the files of your mod entirely.
Not even launching Cosmoteer in "Temporarily disable mods" mode would prevent the errors...

i have the log file generated upon attempting to load a saved game if you need it to fix this issue.

I don't know if this is fixable because of the use of overrides - but the salvage rate of 10% on storage containers have the side effect of making those little storage pods that spawn drop nothing most of the time. Their contents don't seem to scale with total storage capacity like other containers, and so they *might* drop a single diamond or a processor about 10% of the time, instead of their full contents as intended in vanilla.

i dont know what you are talking about - max stack size for all default ores goes from 5 to 50
please let me know if you are using modded ores - so we can add them
