Hey, sorry for not responding for a little but i've tried Sync Only in every campaign and it doesn't work and there are no errors in the console. I have a lot of addons so when i disabled all of them it worked, however i can't figure out wich one is causing Sync Only to not work. I'm gonna try AI+ rn

@iPoshooTaco That's not good. Out of curiosity, are you encountering any errors in the console that prevent either the `Sync Only` or `AI+` add-on from working as intended, or do you have other add-ons enabled alongside either the `Sync Only` or `AI+` add-on?

@iPoshooTaco Did you try to use the `AI+` version of the `Special Infected Synchronization` add-on before I updated it today at 12:00 PM? If so, you may have encountered an error in the console where the `EFL_NO_THINK_FUNCTION` constant variable didn't exist and would cause the add-on to crash. Could you try using the add-on again and moving out of the safe area for at least 1-2 minutes to see if special infected will all spawn at once?

Yeah i'm having the same problem as Xeno, SI don't spawn at all except when havin the Competitive one. It's those two mods or another one that we both have.

@Taut that would be really cool. I like the mod a lot but some of the people I play with think its too intense if they spawn together every single time lol

@Agent Weasroy Currently, letting the Director handle special infected spawns a specified percent of the time isn't available in the `Special Infected Synchronization` add-ons. However, if people are interested, I might be able to implement this feature if I can find a way to do so.

is there any way to configure this so they dont always spawn exactly at the same time? like 50 percent of the time they do?

@(^^^) Xeno It depends on whether the map's VScripts will allow special infected to spawn more than two special infected (ex. The Passing's third chapter). If you want to always spawn four special infected, then I recommend using the `Special Infected Synchronization (Competitive)` add-on instead.

@Wenda Here are the differences of the Special Infected Synchronization add-ons:

- The `Only Sync` add-on simply allows the special infected to attack together without modifying anything else.
- The `AI+` add-on allows the special infected to attack together and modifies the command variables so the special infected can attack more efficiently.
- The `Competitive` add-on allows the special infected to attack together, modifies the command variables, and adds a lot of options to make the gameplay feel more like Versus.

@Kaiser Adradum You can manually set the respawn interval for special infected by opening the `settings.txt` file in the `./ems/sisync-onlysync/` directory and setting the `OverrideRespawnInterval` option to `true` and lowering the `RespawnIntervalMin` and `RespawnIntervalMax` options to `30`.

In this version, there are fewer special infected. Could you make a version where they appear every 30 seconds? It seems like they take too long to show up.

@Gumbs I would say the `Only Sync` version of the `Special Infected Synchronization` add-on has the fewest and least noticeable bugs as it only aims to synchronize special infected spawns without adding any extra options and features to the settings located in the `./ems/sisync-onlysync/` directory.

@Xeno :] I don't really see any benefit to modifying the special infected limit in the `Sync Only` version as this add-on was only meant to spawn the special infected together without changing too much of the gameplay. If you'd like to change the special infected limit, I recommend using the `Competitive` version as that add-on has the `MaxSpecials` option set to `4` by default.

It only happens to sync version and AI+ but the comp version works fine.

@Xeno :] I've played a campaign with this add-on alongside the `Deceptive Specials` add-on, and the only time the special infected were unable to respawn was when the director's tempo was at the `RELAX` state. If more people have this problem, then I may have to figure out how I can replicate this issue.

@Xeno :] That's odd. I've played a campaign with only this add-on enabled, and the special infected were able to respawn in 45 seconds after the last one had been killed.

Did you have other add-ons enabled when you encountered this issue? If so, could you tell me what add-ons you had installed so I can check to see if my add-on is conflicting with those?

@Dumuul Since you've created your own local server, you can open the `addonconfig.cfg` file located in `~/Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/cfg` and see if the variables underneath `RestrictedAddons` are set to `1`. If they are, you'll need to change them to `0` so my add-ons can load on your dedicated server.

Of course, if it's a co-op game, then the `default` variable should be set to `0` by default which should allow you to use your add-ons without needing to change anything in the `addonconfig.cfg` file.

@Dumuul These add-ons can only run in single player mode or on local servers with variables underneath `RestrictAddons` in the `addonconfig.cfg` file set to `0`. Otherwise, they will automatically be disabled on Official Dedicated servers.

Hi, in mutation4 mode, they will all respawn in the same place, which is very crowded. It is better to let them respawn in different places. Otherwise, boomer explosions will often be blown away.

So you would like me to make another add-on where I can allow them to synchronously respawn as well as improve their reflexes without adding any of the command variables from Versus mode. If so, I could upload one to the Steam Workshop as a middle ground between the Sync-Only and Competitive versions.

Would you be able to improve their reflexes the same way you did throughout the comp. I didn't know the comp version of their spawn was being doubled?
