This will be a huge mess to fix up, so not sure what aproach I'l ltake but sadly either way it means it will take longer to include hef traits in a update.
If you know, are those traits brand new ones for patch or just copies of the old traits?
I've yet had time to go trough High Elf since patch, but they are next to work on now.
Noiticed the mod does not seem to work with some high elf lords. With the new update each high elf legendary lord can recruit 1 lord with tier 2 traits for 0 points and the 3rd tier for 30 points there is no 1st tier: for Tyrion it is Princes, Teclis Heaven Archmages, Alarielle Life Archmage, Alith Anar Princess, Eitharion Princes, Imrik Fire Archmage and Aislinn Sea Helms.
These lords, based upon my testing, do not get your improved traits(not sure 100% on Sea Helms). Thanks

But thanks for pointing out anything that looks wrong since with bigger mods it is easy to miss things, I appreciate it!
I'd love to fix it up and hoping that CA gets around to fixing it like they did some other traits so its easier to work with.
Meanwhile this mod gives it other benefits that works regardless if its on a lord or hero.
There have even been people who have said the movement range on Strategist doesn't even work on lords. Something should be done about that.
Otherwise I don't know what the cause for your crash could be, but the latest version of this mod is fully functioning for patch 5.1.

But as a small comfort, at least the mod should be safe to remove during ongoing campaign if it is causing issues for older version saves.
